Shailene Diann Woodley Diet Plan And Workout Routine.

Shailene Diann Woodley the star of the popular teen show, Secret Life Of An American Teenager, has quite a chirpy personality and an eccentric way of looking at Food. She is an American actress. She is recently gained more popularity with her role in Hollywood blockbusters such as Fault in our Stars and Insurgent. The 24 year old star is always full of energy and very experimental with her Diet. Her unique looks may be attributed to her mixed descent. Her father hails from an English ancestry and her mother has African American, Creole, English, and Swiss descent.

Shailene started modeling at the tender age of four. At the age of fifteen, she was diagnosed with Idiopathic Scoliosis( a disease where your spine starts to curve). She had to be put in a chest-to-hips plastic brace to refrain her spine from curving any further. She had to wear the brace for two long years. She came out of the dreadful disease with a bright smile and a full recovery. She made her screen debut in 1999. She continued working in the movie industry by starring in movies like The District (2000), Crossing Jordan (2001) and The O.C. (2003) amongst many others.

She has got the perfectly proportionate body. She does not have any unwanted fat neither is she so slim that she looks sick all the time! She looks amazing with her beautiful young figure. In spite of being so fit and fine, Shailene loves to eat. She is a foodie. But her food passions aren’t so predictable. She is very spontaneous and her likes are not what you could call mainstream.

She forages( yes, i mean literally forages!) for mushrooms and berries. She tries to make up 35% of her diet wild foods. When she lives in Los Angeles, she travels an hour away into the mountains and finds stinging nettle and mugwart and a bunch of other medicinal herbs. And, what do you think, a woman who forages for her food, would she have a normal cup of coffee? Of course not! She drinks ,what she calls a Bulletproof coffee.

She bolsters her coffee with coconut oil and some butter!She also puts some cinnamon in there sometimes and mixes it all up in a blender because she like it to be “latte-y”. she strongly encourages people to try it. And she believes in alternate medicine, she consults herbalists for recipes of thyme tea. She says that thyme can be beneficial for people who have mild respiratory issues.

Her latest fad in the culinary art is home fermentation. Kraut, kimchi, and kombucha are her absolute favorites. but the reason she like fermenting is because you can ferment just about anything. ” I sort of love that semi-rotten flavor.” said the quirky lady.

She doesn’t strictly follows one specific diet. Rather, she follows her heart. When asked about her diet she said,” I don’t say I’m on the Paleo diet or a vegan diet or a vegetarian diet, for me I kind of base my diet off of indigenous cultures and what they eat.” She believes that the primitive cultures can teach you a better balanced diet than the ones that are recommend by the complex modern man. She probably has a valid point.

It indeed is very fascinating that an 80 year old indigenous man can generally run for miles and miles with no serious problems while a modern man who is barely 35 can’t do that! While she doesn’t stick to a specific diet, she does try to each natural. She avoids eating genetically engineered food products. She doesn’t like processed food. Also, she does not specifically avoid carbs. She lives to try new cuisines. And with it all she believes in her herbal treatments to keep the toxins out of her. Shailene Woolley’s diet can be summarized in a word- ‘Natural’.
