Inter Milan defender Davide Santon is flying to London ahead of his medical with West Ham, according to reports in Italy.
West Ham have been forced into the transfer market for a left-back after Aaron Cresswell suffered a knee injury in July.
The 26-year-old is expected to be out for four months and the club have now moved to ease his loss by bringing in Santon.
According to Sky Italia, the 25-year-old is flying to London to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.
West Ham have agreed to take the Italian on loan for the season after paying a fee of around £400,000.
The Hammers also have the right to buy the player outright if they shell out a further £5million.
