Tottenham Coach Mauricio Pochettino has verbally agreed a two-year contract extension keeping him at the club until 2021.
Pochettino had been linked with a move to Europe Top clubs, and earlier this week admitted that it would be a "pleasure" to manage a club like Paris Saint-Germain in the future.
However, when Questioned about that interview this afternoon, Pochettino replied "why not" when asked whether he'd like to manage his ex-club one day in the future, but that he'd been misunderstood.
Then he confirmed he'll be agreeing a new contract at White Hart Lane.
"I can say now to stop that we reached a Verbal Agreement with the club to extend two years more my contract here until 2021 with the club," he said.
"We haven't signed yet but we reached the verbal agreement to stay here for the next five years."
"I am very happy. I think that for many reasons (I wanted to stay) Tottenham have unbelievable potential.
"We have created a great group of players, have a very strong squad, young with potential to be top.
"The staff, the supporters were unbelievable. The potential was massive. Why not stay here?"
