Arsenal Midfielder Mathieu Flamini is facing the exit door after not being offered a new contract.
Flamini has been pushing for a new deal as his current £80,000-a-week contract expires this summer.
But it is understood that Arsenal have yet to offer anything and Flamini fears that he will be leaving as a free agent at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old has come back into the first team picture during Arsenal’s injury crisis and that gave him genuine hope that he might be kept on for another year.
The Former AC Milan Midfielder Flamini conceded a late penalty against Barcelona on Tuesday night but generally his performances have been good.
But the size of his current deal and his age has gone against him together with the arrival of Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny who joined Basel for £5m in January.
Tomas Rosicky and Mikel Arteta are also on their way out with Arsenal likely to look for a new midfield anchorman this summer.
