Bayern Munich have dealt Manchester City a fresh blow - by warning Pep Guardiola to forget about David Alaba.
Pep Guardiola is tempted to raid his former club for the Austria left-back who is rated at £40million.
City's need for new blood in defence was underlined by Wednesday night's 4-0 Champions League rout at Barcelona.
Alaba has won a host of trophies with the German giants since arriving from hometown club Austria Vienna in 2008.
But Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge insisted:
"There is no truth in the rumours about David Alaba going to Manchester City."He recently extended his contract with us until 2021. Every big European club knows what that means with Bayern."That is to say that we are completely relaxed about his situation. His departure is not on the agenda at all."
