The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2016 held over last weekend, and Ghanaian rapper, Pappy Kojo has won no Award even though he was nominated in four categories. From that time, several public figures, his fellow musicians and many other people took his failure to social media for making fun of him.
Some individuals took it extremely delicate that they had to say the Fante rap god is not deserving for VGMA awards, he should go for Senior High School level organized awards, on the other hand many said the greater part of his fans are Children so he needs not contrast himself with different musicians with regards to winning honors.
Pappy Kojo has answered all charlatans who teased him severely after he lost in all categories at the annual VGMAs. In a meeting with beautiful radio presenter, Berla Mundi on yesterday, Monday evening in the studios of radio station, the rapper talked maturely about what his considerations were after the joke.
According to the rapper, he wasn’t disillusioned about not winning any award in four of total nominations and that it didn’t generally sting. Reacting to comments of some individual that most of his fans are kids, he said,
‘It is exceptionally cool if my fans are children. My most loved artist ever is Michael Jackson and I love him to the extent that I have two tattoos of him on my body. His fans were also children and he was infatuated with them and that is the thing that I generally petition God for. Due to the reasons that, when the children love you and adore you, look from my childhood I loved Obrafuor, I still here adore Obrafuor. So there’s nothing amiss with that one and I myself better know that my mostly fans are the children. Nobody needs to tell me this’.
As per him, winning awards doesn’t legitimize if an musician didn’t buckle down in the year in audit however it’s just to brag rights.
