Rashid Sumaila won best foreign defender in Kuwaiti League

Rashid Sumaila, the Ghanaian Defender has won the best foreign defender in the Kuwaiti Super League for his superb season for Al Qadsia.

The 23 year old joined the Kuwaiti club, Al Qadsia on a loan deal from Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa last season and helped his side to finish third in the league and sign a three year deal with the Kuwaiti giants at the beginning of the current campaign.

One of the best defender has won more opportunities for playing than any players in the league and is leading the aerial duels with just a game to end the season.

The Al Qadsia defender is part of the national team of Ghana for their FIFA World Cup Campaign in Brazil in the year 2014.

After the World Cup campaign, he signs a contract with Kuwaiti club to join their top flight after shown some remarkable performance in the world biggest football showpiece.

Rashid team, Al Qadsia will be crowned champions, if they will beat Al Jahra in their final game of the season today.

If Al Qadsia wins today, Sumaila will become one of those Ghanaian players to won three league title in three different countries as he had won in Ghana with Kotoko and South Africa with Mamelodi Sundowns.
