President Mahama and JJ Rawlings at the funeral
At the funeral, there were President John Mahama, flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur, and his running companion Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
As the whole country is grieved today because of the final funeral rites of great MP JB Danquah.
Some minsters of state, National Executives of the NPP, leadership and members of Parliament were also present to give their last respect.
NPP loyalists containing Alan Kyeremanteng, Kwame Mpianim, Yaw Osafo Marfo and the suspended threesome of Kwabena Agyepong, Sammi Crabbe and Paul Afoko were also present at the late MP’s funeral.
JB Danquah was supposedly killed by a 19-year-old, Daniel Asiedu, who come into his residence at Shiashie in Accra and wounded him to death.
The body of a former Deputy Minister for Women and Children’s Affairs, JB Danquah, will be carried to Akyem Old Tafo in the Eastern area for final burial ceremony on Saturday.
The late Joseph Boakye Danquah, once work for as a Deputy Minister for Children and Women’s Affairs. He was the Abuakwa North MP from 2000 till 2008, when he missing the seat to the NPP’s Prof. Samuel Amoako.
He come back in 2012 to win the seat. He left behind a wife and 2 children.
