Ghanaian artist, Kwabena Kwabena has said Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMAs) is a “private party” and he wouldn’t like to be a part of it anymore.

As indicated by him, he began boycotting the Award Ceremony around three years prior.

He told the media on the Tuesday morning that, the last time he won a Ghana Music Award, he didn’t even go in front of an audience to receive his award since he lost trust in the award ceremony.

‘The last time I won an award I wasn’t in front of an audience. I will say in the most recent three years, yes I boycotted Ghana Music Award…’ he said, hinting the award ceremony doesn’t honor artistes and their works, the way they should.

Kwabena Kwabena’s remarks in the wake of preparation for the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
