Owusu Afriyie: Mahama is living in a Stone Age

Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto

Member of Parliament of the New Patriotic Party for Kwadaso Constituency, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto has stated that it seems like President Mahama is living in a Stone Age because he has stop fulfilling the needs of Ghanaians.

According to him, President John Dramani Mahama is describing the campaign messages and promises done by the Presidential Candidate of NPP, Nana Addo as needless and unnecessary because President himself has lost touch even with the basic needs of Ghanaians.

Dr Owusu, who is also a member of the Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs Committee, has stated that he must recalled a recent interview of President Mahama in which he referred the promise of ‘building one factory in one district’ and ‘one dam will be provided to one village’ of Nana Addo as totally needless messages, that are used during the era of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, when his dad was a minister.

According to President in an interview, ‘one district, one factory’ idea by NPP’s flag bearer is very broad and cannot be implemented without specifying proper needs and his policy of ‘one village, one dam’ is not a new one because Accelerated Development Authority has already implemented this strategy under his government.

He also expressed that he is sure that the manifesto of NPP will contain more policies than NDC, which is going to launch soon.
