Amanda Seyfried‘s performance will wow you in the psychological thriller Chloe (2009). This is an excellent twist on the suspicions of a cheating spouse plot. Erin Cressida Wilson wrote this screenplay, which was directed by Atom Egoyan.

Catherine Stewart (Julianne Moore) thinks her husband David (Liam Neeson) is cheating on her with one or more of his students. To prove it, she hires Chloe (Amanda Seyfried), a prostitute, to flirt with him and report back her findings. Chloe confirms Catherine’s suspicions in great detail about her encounters with David, and after some sexual tension between them, Catherine ends up sleeping with Chloe. She then learns the stories about her husband were made up and that Chloe has set her sights on their son Michael (Max Theriot).
There is a thoughtful ending to this saga. It also makes you ask yourself if what you saw was really how the story seemed to play out. I give this movie 2.5 stars out of five.
