Perhaps the biggest evidence of such perk related accessories is when holidaying. All-inclusive resorts usually grant those guests who are eligible to receive premium service with all inclusive wristbands. By doing so, hotel staff can conveniently recognise who has the right to certain services.
Wristbands are the perfect way to classify advantage tourists. Various avenues of establishing those entitled to benefits whilst on holiday have been explored. The ID card is often touted as the perfect identifying method and are used in many aspects of life. The problem with this in terms of holidaying however is they are easily misplaced and more must be produced at the expense of the hotelier. Lanyards and similar singling out apparatus can simply hinder some activities such as swimming.
The cheapest, most efficient and logical answer is the use of paper wristbands. They have qualities that other approaches to identification do not possess.
It is very easy to attain large numbers of Tyvek wristbands. Tyvek wristbands are cheap to produce and buy meaning that hotels do not pay massive amounts, but receive huge stocks. The logo of the resort can be branded on wristbands and they come in a huge range of different colours. This enables hotels to rotate the colour of the given wristbands regularly to ensure that past guests cannot return free of charge. Tyvek wristbands do not allow transfer and every guest has to pay to wear one.
Wristbands are durable and can last the whole duration of the stay. They do not generally result in any irritation to the wearer and are not a bother to don. Staff at the resort can easily see wristbands at all times as they are not taken off.
Guests can take their all inclusive wristbands back home with them and may keep them as a souvenir of their holiday. They may even act as an advert for the resort depending on who sees them and asks
questions about the break.
Many resorts are now turning to newer technology within wristbands. With the use radio-frequency identification, wristbands can now be used to serve two functions. As well as the standard identification uses provided by other wristbands, RFID can be programmed to become access passes to many different areas of a site including facilities and rooms
