Clinton: ‘I will not make promises I can’t keep’

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton tells supporters in Nevada that she will not make “promises I can’t keep.”

STORY: Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton told supporters in Henderson, Nevada, on Saturday (February 13) that she would always honor her word.

“I also will not make you promises I can’t keep,” she said. “When I tell you I will fight for you, I will work for you, I will get results for you, I am doing it based on what I believe we can accomplish together,” she said.

“I want us to make progress right now,” Clinton said. “I happen to think a progressive is somebody who makes progress,” she added.

“A progressive is actually somebody who gets things done and helps people right now, real progress right now,” she said.

She wrapped up her speech saying, “I am the only candidate that will stand with you in every single fight, no matter how hard it is, or how long it takes.”

Clinton is looking to rebound after her crushing 22-point loss to Sen. Bernie Sanders in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday.
