Zsa Zsa Gabor, one of the last remaining actresses from Hollywood’s golden age has been admitted to hospital in Los Angeles at the age of 99.
Her husband, the star’s ninth, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, said she had been hospitalized after having breathing difficulties and is awaiting surgery.
He said “She talks a little but not very much. She is hanging on. I hope she will hang on for a couple more years, and celebrate her 100th birthday next year. I think everything will be ok.”
Gabor was born in Hungary and was the star of such 1950s films as “Moulin Rouge” and “Lili”. She has been confined to her home since 2011 following the amputation of her leg and other complications.
