The Benefits of Accidents

This is a continued post to the Subject of Addictions#3: Coffee. I took the time to shoot a couple pictures of what I want my project to be based off of. It is important for an artist to have a visual representation of their goals, even if the goal is manipulate and alter for the final work. Shoot multiple pictures from different angles. In just two minutes I had shot around twenty pictures. Even though I am only planning on using one, the result of some of the others is outstanding. I like this picture to the right, yet love the black and white picture underneath. This picture to the right has a strong composition. One wouldn't imagine a person drinking their coffee in that position; it brings movement to the picture. I love how close-up the picture is underneath. It wasn't meant to be like that. The shutter wouldn't click until I was that close to the subject. The only think that bothers me  is that the focus is minimal only towards the nose. The picture as a whole is simply beautiful in black and white. It shows an Emotion of pure happiness and peace and joy.

The emotion is strong in this picture with her widened eyes: it's a representation of the emotions and after-effects of drinking a lot of caffeine. This is the picture I will end up basing my final project off of in the next couple of weeks.
