'Thor: Ragnarok' Set Photo Suggests Search for Doctor Strange

Thor: Ragnarok is coming to theaters almost exactly a year after Doctor Strange does. That may not be the only link between the two movies, as some have predicted from new pictures posted from the Thor: Ragnarok set.

Australian TV show writer Daley Pearson dropped by the Ragnarok set in Brisbane, where he put a photo with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston on Twitter, as well as a solo one of Hemsworth holding a card with an address that raised suspicions.

A close up of the card shows that it has the address "177A Bleeker St" And as pointed out by people like Hitfix's Drew McWeeney, that has been the Earth bound address of Dr. Stephen Strange himself in the comics. As such, speculation has now begun that Thor will either be trying to look for Strange at one point, will actually meet the doctor or both.

The vast majority of Thor: Ragnarok seems to take place outside of Earth, so this might be one of the few exceptions. But the whole reason Thor left Earth at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron was to investigate the Infinity Stones and why they had kept showing up. Doctor Strange will likely unveil the fifth Infinity Stone at some point, which could conceivably lead Thor to look for answers about it from Strange himself.

Perhaps such a moment would come early in the movie, before Thor goes through the chaos on Asgard and Planet Hulk that should make up much of Ragnarok. Such chaos is expected to reveal the final Stone and put the last pieces together for Avengers: Infinity War and Thor's full-time return to Earth, where he could possibly meet Strange for the first or second time during the war with Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet.

Now fans will be on the lookout for Benedict Cumberbatch on the Thor: Ragnarok set, although they probably wouldn't have him out in the open for a supposedly secret cameo. Regardless, he will definitely be seen in Doctor Strange on Nov. 4, whether or not he pops up 364 days later in Thor: Ragnarok on Nov. 3, 2017.
