Trilogy of the heart - The will of the lion

The lion's roar shook all
On a podium of honor
He stood tall
And we follow when he asks us to follow
Through the darkest nights he guides us all
With the modest might he takes our fall

The angel sang a divine chorus
Of a creature of will and light
Blinded was the eye of Horus
I will always remember you, my lord
As you roared wisdom atop the hill
As your might brought an end to the void
The valley in which the darkness lies
You are my biggest prize
My eternal demise

At the time the lion fell
He left only stories I will tell
Tears will dry my arms
I will be shadowed in this dark
But your will never end
Enlightened I'll never fall
The cub shall never bend
I've been taught no withdrawal

Yours, I will be for longer than time
This blessing that I'm thankful is mine
In a fort of your pride
You who have never lied
You who never killed
I promise you that I will live
And under these autumn leaves
I know you'll be with me
In this all I promise to believe
My lion and my lord
I shall be you until I fall
