This place was recommended to me by a good friend long ago but somehow I was always skeptical about eating here. Still, on one such evening when we wanted to eat Chinese but not from our regular Chinese joint I started checking for alternatives and zeroed down on this place. Previously, there had been a bad experience regarding the Food ordered from here and so this time round we were very cautious about our order. The food was to be home delivered and explicit instructions were given to the manager to not add mushrooms in any of the preparations and also to keep the spicy quotient on a lower side.
In starters we hit it off with veg. schezwan momo Sauce and roast barbequed paneer. The spiciness was well under control indeed. Each dish with 6 to 8 pieces was quite filling. Momos were well done. Their filling and schezwan dressing had blended well, enhancing the over all taste of this dish. Barbequed paneer a dish which we never had before was good too. One could feel the barbeque flavour with slight crunchiness at the edges. Only if they would have gone easy on the spring onion garnishing then it would have been near perfect dishes, both of them.
In the main course we had veg Hakka Noodles with veg balls in Teriyaki Sauce. The noodles were the best I have tasted so far. They were cooked perfectly and thinner than those regularly served at other joints. The gravy of teriyaki sauce was good but too close to veg. manchurian. Despite this, teriyaki sauce can be a good alternative for those tired of teaming up their hakka noodles with manchurian gravy all the time.
For the above described meal we paid close to 600/-. The portions were ample. Taste was consistent tending towards good. And the food was delivered while still very hot with all the instructions followed. Since the food was home delivered I can not comment on the ambiance of this place. Yet, this is one more Chinese eatery serving good food at affordable rates thus certainly worthy of one try for all the Mira Road based Chinese lovers.
