Skoda Superb Combi model year 2014

Skoda Superb Combi model year 2014

Škoda is launching the next stage of its model offensive with the Škoda Superb. The brand's top-selling model impresses with attractive new Škoda design elements, a fresh interior and improved technical features. The engine ranges' fuel consumption and emissions have been decreased by up to 19 per cent. The new Superb limousine and Combi will both be launched in late June 2013.

"The Škoda Superb is the flagship of the Škoda brand, and since it was launched in 2001, it has stood for high quality from the Czech Republic," states Škoda CEO Winfried Vahland. "Our designers and engineers have been working hard on the redesign and made our top-selling model even more appealing." The Superb is more commanding and striking than ever before and will win people over with its new freshness, improved fuel consumption und new technical solutions. At the same time, the Superb reconfirms everything good about the brand that has made it so successful for the last twelve years: lots of space, outstanding functionality, higher comfort, top safety features, the best value for the money, and commanding elegance. "The Škoda Superb offers comfort that exceeds the typical offerings of the mid-range segment. We always want to offer our customers a little more car than normal," states Vahland. This also includes features that are normally only available in top luxury class models. The Superb provides an umbrella in the left rear door for the driver or passengers.

Superb with appealing elements of the new Škoda design

It is apparent with the very first glance - the new Superb brings new energy to the upper mid-sized range. The vehicle has a completely new front and rear end as well as a fresh interior. "Our designers have given the Superb an attractive and tailor-made dress," states Frank Welsch, Škoda board member for technical development.

The brand's design language is apparent in the appealing elements in the top-selling Škoda model. With its clear lines, precise quality and balanced proportions, the vehicle embodies elegance and a commanding presence. The front end has been completely redesigned up to the A-pillars. The radiator grille, vehicle logo, front headlights and fog lights, bumper, front fender, and bonnet are new. The new Škoda logo is now placed prominently in the centre of the bonnet, which is slightly sloped downward. The completely redesigned front headlights convey the particularly expressive character of the new Superb 'face'. The Superb now has bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights and LED turning signals for the first time.

The rear of the vehicle has also been completely redesigned. The new rear end is clear, clean and precise; everything is in its proper place. The contour of the lights has been reinterpreted; the C-shape of the rear taillights shines even more brightly than before. For the first time in the Škoda Superb, three light strips make up the C-shaped rear lights that are characteristic of the brand, coming standard as LEDs. Two new cubist triangles below the boot lid are additional unmistakable elements of the new Škoda design - in the sheet metal itself in the Combi and in the shape of the rear taillights in the limousine.

Two metallic paint shades in Metal grey or Moon white are also new choices for the Superb's exterior. The range of wheels has also been refreshed: with three new alloy wheels such as the 16-inch Helix, 17-inch Twister and 18-inch Trinity as well as new hub caps in the Solaris design.

Of course, the Superb limousine still features its clever Twindoor system. Thanks to this unique, patented solution, the hatchback can be opened in two different ways. Users can either just open the boot lid or the entire rear boot including the rear window. Operation has also become much easier, with a button for each door position in the fundamentally revised Superb. Up to now, opening a door involved pressing a shift button. This is no longer necessary.

The interior of the Škoda Superb is also new and fresh. There are new 3-spoke and 4- spoke steering wheels available. The seat covers feature new materials and colours, and there are also new decorative elements. The limited edition Škoda Superb L&K is available in the new interior colour scheme of brown and ivory.

Lower fuel consumption and emissions

The Škoda Superb has also made further advances in the area of engines and drive systems. It is much more fuel efficient than before. Thanks to the start-stop system and brake energy recuperation, which are standard in all EU countries for all diesel engines and the 1.4 TSI/92 kW petrol engine, fuel consumption has been reduced and hence emissions by up to 19 per cent. Higher gearings, tyres with less resistance, an improved drag coefficient and a lower dry weight also contribute to this increase in efficiency.

In all, four petrol and three diesel engines are available. The choices range from the 1.4 TSI with an output of 92 kW to the top-performance engine, the 3.6 FSI with an output of 191 kW. The only automatic transmissions are modern DSG six- or sevenspeed transmissions. Škoda also offers an all-wheel drive option for the Superb limousine and the Superb Combi. The technology is based on a modern, fourth generation Haldex clutch.

The diesel engines show the most significant efficiency improvement. The fuel consumption of the Superb's most powerful diesel engine, the 2.0 TDI with 125 kW with a manual 6-speed transmission and front-wheel drive, is only 4.6 l/100 km, which is an improvement of 19 per cent. For the first time, this engine is now also available in combination with an all-wheel drive transmission with a DSG automatic gearbox.

The GreenLine version 1.6 TDI engine with an output of 77 kW in the Superb limousine with front-wheel drive and a manual transmission is the most economical diesel engine. The engine achieves a fuel consumption of 4.2 l/100 km, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 109 g/km instead of the previous 114 g/km. Without the GreenLine features, in connection with the limousine's manual six-speed transmission and front-wheel drive, the 1.6 TDI engine achieves a fuel consumption of 4.5 l of diesel every 100 km, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 117 g/km, which is ten per cent less than before.

The Superb limousine with the middle-range 2.0 TDI/103 kW diesel engine in connection with the manual six-speed transmission and front-wheel drive has a fuel consumption 4.6 l every 100 km, which is an improvement of 15 per cent.

In EU countries, the basic 1.4 TSI/92 kW petrol engine is equipped for the first time with a start-stop system and brake energy recuperation as standard features. The combined fuel consumption of the Superb limousine with the manual six-speed transmission and front-wheel drive has declined from 6.8 l to 5.9 l every 100 km.

The top-level petrol engine in the Superb 4×4 limousine is the 3.6 FSI V6/191 kW engine. At 9.3 l per 100 km, the limousine with a six-speed DSG transmission has a fuel consumption that is significantly below ten litres (up to now 10.1 l every 100 km).

New: the next-generation Automatic Parking Assistant

The Škoda Superb's comfort features have been expanded once again. For the first time ever, the limousine and the Combi will feature the most recent version of the Automatic Parking Assistant. In addition to entering and exiting parking spots parallel to the traffic lane, it now supports entering parking spots backwards perpendicular to the traffic lane.

In addition, the revised Superb contains all of the innovative comfort features that a model of this vehicle class should have. For example, the Superb limousine has an electrically operated sunroof with integrated solar cells. When the car is parked in the sun, the solar cells supply electric energy that drives a ventilator that lowers the inside temperature by up to 25 degrees centigrade compared to cars without a sunroof with integrated solar cells.

The Superb Combi has a large electrically operated panoramic tilt/slide sunroof with integrated rolling mesh shade. An extremely convenient feature is the automatic KESSY (Keyless Entry Start and Exit System), which eliminates the need for the driver to hold a key in hand to open, lock and start the car. The modern Climatronic dualzone air conditioning system provides comfortable temperatures within the vehicle. It also features front and rear heatable seats.

For contemporary infotainment and navigation customers can choose from four modern audio and navigation systems: from the basic Swing radio to the top-of-the-line Columbus navigation system with a large 6.5 inch colour touch screen and integrated 30 GB hard drive. The system features the latest navigation software.

The Škoda Superb's gigantic capacity remains unrivalled

The new edition of the Škoda Superb confirms the vehicle's outstanding capacity. The limousine and Combi feature the largest luggage compartment in their class and the most knee room for passengers in the rear seats. No other vehicle in this class offers as much space to its rear seat passengers as the Škoda Superb. The vehicle features 157 millimetres of rear leg room - a benchmark in the upper mid-range segment.

Starting now, a new feature makes travelling in the rear seats even more comfortable: for the first time ever the passenger seat can also be electrically adjusted from the back as an option. The adjustment buttons are now located on the inner side of the passenger seat and can be easily operated by passengers in the rear seats as well.

The Superb's luggage compartment is absolutely unbeatable. The basic volume of the limousine is 595 litres, and the Combi is 633 litres - both best-in-class. The compartment can be extended to 1,700 and 1,865 litres, respectively, by folding the rear seats.

"Simply Clever" wherever you look

The redesigned Superb confirms its reputation as a particularly clever representative of the upper middle class. The Superb stands out from the rest with practical solutions almost everywhere you look. In addition to an umbrella compartment in the left rear door, there are numerous storage options in both the front and rear of the vehicle: the jumbo box in the centre console, storage compartments in the doors, under the passenger seat, the roomy glove box, the practical compartment for glasses or even the storage compartment in the folding armrest in the rear seats - everything has been carefully thought out.

This also holds true for the luggage compartment. It is not just gigantic, but also has practical features such as an optional double floor, lockable storage compartments behind the wheel housings, bag hooks, lashing points and optional storage nets.

The Combi features a removable LED flashlight which automatically recharges when the engine is running. The Combi's hatchback can be opened electrically, and depending on the setting the retractable partition automatically reverts to the centre position.

Best possible five star safety rating

The Superb also puts its best face forward with regard to safety. It received the top rating of five stars in the Euro NCAP crash test (2009). In EU countries, the Superb limousine and Combi are available with standard ESP, ABS and Brake Assistant. The innovative front headlight system and, starting with the 'Elegance' package, standard bixenon headlights with Adaptive Front Light System (AFS) provide the best possible visual conditions when driving in the dark. AFS guarantees optimum illumination of the road and surroundings in various driving situations.

Additional modern assistance systems are also available. The Driver Activity Assistant (fatigue detection) warns drivers of impending fatigue. Hill Hold Control makes it easy to start up slopes without using the hand brake. Also on offer is tyre pressure monitoring as a standard feature starting with the 'Elegance' package.

In the event of an accident, the passengers are protected by up to nine airbags as well as three-point safety belts and height-adjustable headrests. The body of the vehicle is extremely torsion-resistant due to the use of high-strength steel, and the well-balanced chassis ensures stable road holding.

Synonym for top quality from the Czech Republic

In 2001, after the Octavia and Fabia, the Škoda Superb became the third completely redeveloped Škoda model since the fall of the Iron Curtain and the 1991 merger with Volkswagen. With the launch of the first Superb generation, the car maker continued the tradition of large, prestigious Škoda limousines that started in the 1930s. From 1934 to 1949, a luxury passenger car called the Superb ran off the line in Mladá Boleslav.

The Superb enabled Škoda to immediately and successfully launch its brand in the upper middle class vehicle segment. Škoda's top-of-the-line model is a synonym for Czech quality on the world markets. From the very beginning, the car has set standards with regard to space and comfort. The Superb has been winning over customers in Europe as well as in China, Russia and India. To date Škoda has sold around 557,000 units of its top-selling model worldwide, delivering approximately 109,100 Superbs in 2012, around 40 per cent of which to customers in China.

While the first Superb generation had the character of a classic limousine, the second generation that was launched in 2008 stands out from the rest with its new, variable solutions. Thanks to its Twindoor system, the limousine can be used as a notchback as well as a hatchback. The Superb has been available as an estate since 2009. The latest comprehensive redesign is now further raising the profile of the brand's flagship model.

Škoda flagship with a new exterior

The completely revised Škoda Superb brings new visual energy to the upper middle class. The Superb limousine and Combi's attractive design impresses over at first glance: with its striking front end, clear shapes, precise lines and typical elegance. The brand's design language stands Škoda's best-selling model in good stead. The fundamentally revised Škoda Superb makes a statement. It shows character in that it is striking, elegant and likable at the same time.

Škoda designers have significantly sharpened the characteristic features of the Škoda flagship and given the Superb a rejuvenating makeover, complete with numerous elements of the new Škoda design language - a striking appearance, precise lines, clean edges and perfect proportions. "The Škoda Superb is now fresher and even more striking; it is now, more than ever, a statement of elegant assurance," says Frank Welsch, Škoda board member for technical development. "Our designers have given the vehicle an attractive and tailor-made dress. The redesigned Superb makes a really good impression; it is more attractive and more noticeable than ever before," states Welsch.

Commanding front end

This commanding presence is particularly apparent in the Superb's completely new front end. The motto is "everything new" - the radiator grille, the front headlights and fog lights, the bumper, the front fender, the bonnet and the car logo. The 1.82 meter wide Superb looks very fresh from the front and yet representative of the brand at the same time. "The car has gained new momentum again," states Škoda design chief Jozef Kabaň. "The car's strengths have never been conveyed this well before visually."

The car's modern appearance exudes calm and natural authority. The front end's horizontal lines emphasises this and come across as being very clear and clean. The centre of the front end is dominated by the broad and upright radiator grille, surrounded by a chrome frame and 21 vertical slats that are typical of the brand. The finely moulded radiator slats are chrome plated, which emphasises the car's class.

The new Škoda logo is no longer integrated in the grille, but rather (in keeping with the brand's new design line) embossed in the centre of the car's bonnet. The designers refer to this as the front end's "premium area". The new logo is also the starting point for the precisely shaped lines of the new bonnet. Compared to the previous car logo, the chrome and black winged arrow appear much more modern. It is designed in chrome on a matte black background, surrounded by a fine chrome line.

The front grille is flanked by very expressive headlights, which are more quadratic and flatter than before. Together with the new grille, they give the car a concise appearance emphasising the horizontal lines. The headlights are defined precisely and, thanks to their elongated shape, seem much broader than before. Its striking straight lines shine with new splendour. Thanks to the broad headlights the car has an extremely commanding presence. The handcrafted cut glass, smooth transitions and sharp edges emphasise the designers' perfect precision work - Czech glass craft at its best.

The Superb now features bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights and LED turning signals for the first time. The light strips were designed as free-standing glass elements illuminated by high-performance LEDs. The washer jets integrated in the headlights show the precision in its most minute detail. The covers are chrome plated and contoured with a polished edge.

The new shape and new technology of the Superb's fog lights also make it stand out. Designed larger than before, they are connected with a thin chrome clasp in both the 'Ambition' and 'Elegance' lines. The visible interaction of the fundamentally revised Superb's headlights and fog lights are reminiscent of a cloverleaf - a key feature of the new Škoda design language.

Striking and elegant side view

The Superb limousine and Combi are familiarly expressive in their side view. A long, drawn out roofline gives both these 4.83 meter cars a touch of dynamic elegance. The limousine's window line gently slopes downward from the A-pillars across the wide Cpillars and transitions into the fifth door, harmoniously concluding at the rear end. In the Superb Combi, the transition flows smoothly into the D-pillars.

Both models' side graphic is enhanced by a striking shoulder line, which starts at the front headlights and elegantly extends along the vehicle to the rear lights that run to the sides. The longer wheelbase of 2.76 meters emphasises the Superb's powerful proportions as well. The chrome strips around the front and back side windows highlight the vehicle's timeless elegance.

The Superb's range of wheels has also been revised. New 16 to 18-inch alloy wheels are now available with the Superb.

Superb limousine and Combi with an all-new rear end

Just the front end, the Škoda Superb's rear end has also been completely redesigned, for both the Superb limousine and the Combi, consistently using elements of the new Škoda design philosophy: clear, clean and precise.

This is emphasised by the rear light contour; the C-shaped lighting contour that is characteristic of Škoda is brighter and clearer than ever before. As the flagship of the Škoda brand, the Superb features rear lights with three LED light strips and fog lights that are standard for all of the versions as well as reverse and turn signals in the limousine. There are two sections to the Superb limousine's rear lights, while the Combi features single rear lights.

The Twindoor system is probably the Superb limousine's best Simply Clever solution. It can be opened in two ways. You can either open the boot as you would on a classic limousine type body or you can open the rear boot, including the rear window, as you would with a hatchback and get easy access to the luggage space. This original and patented Škoda design makes the Superb unique and combines the advantages of two vehicle types. On the one hand, the Superb represents the classic and elegant limousine with a comfortable passenger area that is completely separate from the luggage space. While on the other hand, the Superb is an extremely practical hatchback with a large fifth door that ensures a high standard of functionality and easy loading and unloading.

The technology is now even easier to control. There is a button under the boot hatch for each door position. If you want to open the boot lid, simply press the middle button. Press the right button to open the entire boot hatch. Up to now, the door has been controlled by pressing a single button.

The rear bumper of the Superb limousine has also been revised, making the vehicle also appear more superior from the rear, despite its 1.82 meter width remaining the same. This effect is aided at night by two new reflective light strips on the right and left of the rear bumper (also available in the Combi).

The limousine's license plate frame is now positioned in the centre of the boot hatch, instead of its former location on the bottom bumper. The license plate on the Superb Combi is still in the middle of the boot hatch below the new Škoda logo.

Both models feature redesigned model and brand designations on the rear end. The left side of the boot shows the Škoda company name, while the right side bears the Superb model designation. The GreenLine or 4×4 models also feature an additional logo.

As the third model after the Rapid and Octavia, the Škoda Superb also has two cubist triangles on the left and right sides of the boot lid. The limousine features them over the rear lights, and they are embossed in the sheet metal of the Combi. Together with the C-shaped lights, they are a new, unmistakable characteristic and elegant stylistic Škoda feature. The diffusor forms the rear end of the new Superb. The diffusor element is a little higher than before and now a shiny black instead of the vehicle colour. It contains technical features such as parking assist sensors and the optionally available trailer hitch.

Superb customers can choose from 13 exterior colours, including two new metallic shades (Metal grey and Moon white), two solid shades in Candy white and Pacific blue as well as metallic paints, from 'Magic black', 'Cappuccino beige', 'Shark blue', 'Rosso Brunello', 'Malachite green', 'Lava blue, 'Amethyst purple', 'Brilliant silver' to 'Magnetic brown'.

Comfortable space giant with interior values

The Škoda Superb impresses with a special dimension of space and comfort. This is true more than ever of the fundamentally revised Superb. The new edition of the Škoda flagship model confirms the outstanding capacity and shows off optical freshness in the interior, not to mention new features increasing the vehicle's travel comfort. The Škoda Superb is a truly comfortable large-capacity car, perfect for families or business.

The Superb has always been an extremely appealing vehicle in the upper middle class. Škoda's top model turned the world of mid-sized range vehicles on its head when it premiered in 2001. Interior space is extremely generous and offers roominess normally only available in higher range vehicles. Clever use of interior space creates unusually generous room for occupants. "The space sets the tone in the Superb," says Škoda design chief Jozef Kabaň. "It is our job to celebrate this demand with good design." The Superb meets the highest of customer demands with regard to comfort. The Škoda Superb offers comfort that exceeds the offerings of most middle class vehicles and always offers 'a bit more car'.

A space marvel in every respect

In addition to many other good features, the Škoda Superb's greatest asset is the huge amount of available space. The brand's fundamentally revised flagship model is and remains a true space giant, with lots of room for occupants and baggage. Both the Superb limousine and the Superb Combi offer the largest luggage compartment and most leg room for rear passengers in the upper mid-range segment. This unusually spaciousness is made possible thanks to the clever use of interior space, among other things. Since the engine and transmission are mounted transversally, engineers were able to make the centre tunnel very slender.

Passengers sitting in the rear of the Superb have more room available than in any other vehicle of this class. An impressive 157 millimetres of rear legroom in the limousine as well as in the Combi means leg room completely eclipsing all of the car's direct competitors. One small but important detail shows how spacious the vehicle is - the floor mats in the back are just as long as the ones in the front.

The boot features true loadmaster qualities, with a basic volume in the limousine of 595 litres, and 633 litres in the Superb Combi. Both are records figures in the segment. The Combi's rear seats can be folded down completely, which is standard for all versions, and the limousine's rear seats can also be folded down. This increases the loading volume of the limousine to 1,700 litres and the Combi to 1,865 litres.

A new function makes riding in the back even more comfortable. For the first time ever passengers in the rear seats can adjust the passenger seat from the back. The electrical control is located on the side of the passenger seat near the centre console and is thus easy to operate from the back. Passengers in the rear can move the seat forward and back and adjust the seat height and angle. This is very practical and increases the space for the passengers behind the front passenger seat if necessary. One additional feature hidden in the left rear side door can normally only be found in models of the luxury performance class; the Superb provides an umbrella for the driver or passengers.

Flipping down the armrest in the rear seats creates a practical solution for transporting longer objects, such as skis. The specially designed Unibag removable sack is suitable for skis or a snowboard. The controls for the long-cargo channel are located on both sides of the armrest so that the channel can be opened from the luggage space as well as from the passenger compartment. The rear seats are split at a ratio of 60:40, which allows variable uses of the passenger compartment.

Fresh interior space

The Škoda Superb features four equipment lines: 'Active', 'Ambition', 'Elegance' and 'Laurin & Klement'. The interior of the Superb 'Laurin & Klement' is especially refined, with the interior of the top model now also available for the first time in the exclusive 'Brown/Ivory' colour combination. Thereby the leather seat covers, the bottom of the dashboard and the door panels are ivory, and the top of the dashboard and leather steering wheel are brown.

A key feature of the Škoda Superb is maximum comfort for the driver and passengers. This is achieved with selected materials, precise manufacturing quality, harmonious shapes and, above all, the vehicle's extraordinary spaciousness. In keeping with this, designers have made the interior even fresher than before.

First of all, by using new steering wheels, seat materials and decorative trims. The Superb features new 3 and 4-spoke steering wheels. The height and tilt of all of the steering wheels can be adjusted, and the new Škoda logo is embossed in the centre. Depending on the equipment line, customers can choose from a variety of features (3 or 4-spokes, with or without multi-function display/phone/audio buttons), materials (PUR or leather) and colours (black or brown).

The seat cover choices have also been expanded; some of the new interior choices include 'Ray' (Active), 'Rubicon' (Ambition) and 'Felicity' (Elegance). The Superb now offers a total of eleven seat cover combinations.

The decorative trims on the dashboard and door panels have also been completely revised. The 'Active', 'Ambition' and 'Elegance' equipment levels have newly designed decorative elements and are now even more individualised. They emphasise the highquality character of the respective trim levels. The new décors include Grey metallic for 'Active', Aluminium for 'Ambition' and Wood for 'Elegance'.

The dashboard is made using a high-quality soft material. Precise workmanship emphasises the perceived high quality of the interior space. There are several dashboard combinations available: satin black/satin black, satin black/lava grey, satin black/ivory, native brown/ivory and native brown/satin black (exclusively for the Superb L&K).

Numerous comfort features

The arrangement of the control elements on the dashboard is clear tidy and in accordance with the latest ergonomic findings. Users can quickly find everything they need, and driving the car is very intuitive. The dashboard's control elements are positioned in a classic manner. The instrument cluster is located behind the steering wheel, and you can choose from the multi-function display (on-board computer) or Maxi DOT display. The radio and/or navigation system are centrally located in the middle of the dashboard console. The control unit for the heating and air condition system is directly underneath.

For the first time ever, the limousine and the Combi will feature the most recent version of the Automatic Parking Assistant. In addition to entering and exiting parking spots parallel to the traffic lane, it now supports entering parking spots backwards perpendicular to the traffic lane. The driver activates the system with the push of a button at speeds up to 40 km/h and then sets his turning signal depending on which side of the street he intends to park on. The system uses ultrasound sensors to detect available parking spaces. It then measures the space and determines the starting point for the parking manoeuvre, which it then performs automatically once the driver has put the car in reverse and presses the accelerator. The system will become active if it determines the parking space to be sufficient in size, which means at least 30 cm clearance needs to be available both in front and at the rear. Accelerating and braking is left to the driver, with the system handling all other tasks comprising the parking manoeuvre including steering the car along an ideal trajectory. The Automatic Parking Assistant handles all other tasks comprising the parking manoeuvre including steering the car along an ideal trajectory. If the driver accelerates to more than 7 km/h as the car enters the parking spot, or if the car encounters an obstacle, the systems stops the car via the emergency braking function.

Thanks to the modern hands-free units, making phone calls while driving in the Škoda Superb is very convenient. The vehicle and phone communicate via wireless Bluetooth technology.

The Superb limousine is available with an optional electrically operated sunroof with integrated solar cells. When the car is parked in the sun, the solar cells supply electric energy that drives a ventilator that forces air to circulate inside the vehicle. This technology lowers the inside temperature by up to 25 degrees centigrade compared to cars without a sunroof with integrated solar cells. The solar sunroof can be tilted and slid like a conventional sunroof. The Superb limousine also offers an electrically operated glass sunroof.

The electrically operated panoramic tilt/slide sunroof with integrated rolling mesh shade in the Superb Combi allows passengers to see the sky when it is closed or open. The glass is tinted, so only a comfortable amount of light and heat is allowed to enter the inside of the vehicle.

The Combi's electrically operated hatchback can be opened by pressing a button on the centre console or on the remote locking control. It can be easily closed again using a pushbutton switch on the lower edge of the hatch.

An extremely convenient feature is the KESSY (Keyless Entry Start and Exit System). The driver no longer needs to hold a key in hand to open, lock and start the car. The KESSY control unit will recognise the key at a distance of up to 1.50 m from the car. If the driver operates the door handle or the hatch of the boot, the vehicle will unlock automatically. The car can also be started via the push of a button.

The Superb can be equipped with an auxiliary heating system. It is located in the engine compartment next to the windshield washer reservoir and will run on diesel fuel or petrol. The auxiliary heating system heats the interior and defrosts the windows. Conversely, it can also cool the interior when the car stands in the sun.

Modern air conditioning systems ensure comfortable temperatures within the vehicle. Customers can choose a manual air conditioning system or an electronically controlled Climatronic dual-zone air conditioning system. The latter allows separate heating and cooling for the left and right sides of the interior. The control unit analyses data from the temperature sensors throughout the interior as well as data about the incoming sunlight. The heatable seats also enhance comfort in the vehicle. They are not only available in the Superb for the front seats, but also for the seats in the rear.

Modern audio and navigation systems

The new Škoda Superb features four modern radio and navigation systems: the Swing and Bolero radio systems as well as the Amundsen and Columbus radio/navigation systems. The Bolero, Amundsen and Columbus systems are controlled using a large, user-friendly colour touch screen. The optional high-performance sound system with ten loudspeakers and a ten-channel amplifier ensures extremely high quality music playback. The system features the latest navigation software.

The Swing radio system features a dual tuner AM/FM radio receiver and a CD player that can also play MP3 files. An MP3 player can be connected to the system, as can be a CD changer. The air conditioning system, parking assist sensor, time and outside temperature data is displayed on a dot-matrix display.

The Bolero music system expanding on the functions of the Swing radio offers even more comfort. It features radio and CD playback from an integrated CD changer for six CDs and a connection option for an external audio device, such as an MP3 player. Data are displayed on a 6.5-inch colour display. There is also an interface for SD cards. Convenient operation of a mobile phone is possible in combination with the hands-free unit.

The dynamic Amundsen radio/navigation system features convenient control of the radio, communications, navigation and multimedia functions via a 5-inch touch screen display (TFT). Thanks to DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting), radio stations can be received in digital quality. In addition to an audio jack directly on the device and a playback function for MP3 music files, Amundsen also features an additional card reader for SD cards in order to playback MP3 and WMA files. The display also shows the settings for the Climatronic air conditioning system and the parking assist sensors.

The Columbus navigation system features a 6.5-inch colour touch screen. A highperformance processor provides extremely fast route calculations. An integrated 30 GB hard drive offers high capacity storage for music and maps. 20 GB are available for music, which means there is room for approximately 6,500 tracks. The system can of course also play CDs and DVDs. An optional dual TV tuner is available that can receive analogue and digital TV channels. The TV picture can only be displayed when the vehicle is standing still or at speeds below 6 km/h.

Apart from the Swing radio, all of the systems can be combined with an extremely highperformance sound system featuring ten loudspeakers (six in the front and four in the rear) and an external ten-channel amplifier with a separate channel for each loudspeaker. The total output of the system is 300 W. The sound can be optimised at three levels: for the driver, for the front passengers or for the entire vehicle.

Škoda Superb: Spacious, Practical, Smart

A Škoda is "simply clever" per se. This is true just as much for the brand's small and compact cars as for its highest-ranking representative—the Škoda Superb. Now more than ever. In the fundamentally revised Superb, the brand once again impresses in many smart solutions that simplify life both for the driver and for the car's passengers.

The Škoda Superb is an exceptionally practical car. A particularly good example of its smart features is the limousine's Twindoor feature. One simple movement of the hand lifts up either the boot lid or the entire tailgate including the rear window. The Twindoor thus includes the best of both worlds: the shape of a notchback limousine and the advantages of the hatchback. Škoda's unique patented Twindoor is now even easier to operate than before: Each opening type is operated via its own button. Users no longer need to use the shift key and wait.

The boot: spacious and practical

It's easy to load the Superb's boot. In the limousine, the loading edge is a mere 711 mm off the ground, and in the estate, only 600 mm. Add to that a great loading capacity: The limousine can stow 595 litres, the Superb Combi a surprising 633 litres—both at the top of their class. With the seats folded down, the volume reaches an astounding 1,700 litres in the limousine and 1,865 litres in the wagon. And that's not all: There is an amazing number of other smart features.

The Superb can be ordered with an optional double loading floor which can divide the luggage compartment into several segments with additional storage space underneath.

There are lockable compartments behind the wheel wells (standard starting from the Ambition trim level). Six lashing eyelets and two foldable bag hooks make for an even tidier luggage compartment. An additional net set with four nets is also available for the luggage compartment. There is even an optional storage net that can be used under the hat rack.

The Superb Combi's tailgate can be opened electrically. The semi-automatic luggage compartment cover will then automatically open to the middle position, depending on its setting. This cover can be rolled up completely and removed.

The Combi also includes an LED lamp that can be removed and used outside of the vehicle. Sitting on a mounting bracket the light charges automatically, while the engine is running. Two additional spotlights on the inside of the wagon's tailgate illuminate both the trunk space and the ground behind the vehicle. Needless to say, there is a 12 V outlet on the right-hand side of the luggage compartment.

A special feature for the Superb is a removable ski bag (Unibag) to safely transport skis. Safely stored inside the bag, the skis can be pushed through the opening in the luggage compartment after folding down the centre armrest between the rear seats.

Smart solutions for the interior

Practical solutions are everywhere in the Škoda Superb, including in the car's interior. The vehicle is equipped with shelves, compartments, and hooks for all daily needs.

The umbrella compartment in the left back door is particularly clever, a feature available only in top-end luxury vehicles. The water-resistant compartment is located in the door's interior covering and is invisible when the door is closed, meaning it will not get in the way of the passenger on the left rear seat. The compartment lets the water from the umbrella drain to the outside, making it practical to store even a wet umbrella.

The Škoda Superb has a number of stowage options in the front: In addition to a large glove compartment and roomy compartments inside the front doors, the jumbo-sized box under the armrest in the centre console is particularly noticeable. An additional compartment with a lid is located under the passenger seat. Small items can be stowed in the centre console compartment and in the foldout storage space to the left under the steering wheel. Drinks can be stowed in a drink holder in the centre console. And even sunglasses are easy to find in the convenient sunglass compartment under the roof, above the rear-view mirror. Another practical feature is the ticket clip on the inside of the left A column (on the driver's side).

Passengers in the rear can expect just as much convenience. They can stow their items in seat pockets behind the backrests of the front seats. The rear of the jumbo-sized box in the centre console has a lockable compartment. When the back centre armrest is folded down, a built-in compartment can be used. This compartment also includes two cup holders (in the Elegance version). And, of course, even the back doors can hold items in their large compartments.

Škoda Superb: five stars for safety

In terms of safety, the Škoda Superb puts its best foot forward. Its high level of safety earned Škoda'S top-of-the-line model a perfect score of five stars in the Euro NCAP crash test in 2009. Features such as ESC, ABS and the braking assistant increase the car's safety, to which are now added innovative safety systems such as AFS and the Driver Activity Assistant. Up to nine airbags protect occupants in case of an accident. Use of high-strength steel increases the body's rigidity, providing optimum occupant protection. In addition, a balanced setup of the chassis supports the Superb's stable handling.

The Škoda Superb cuts no corners when it comes to active safety. This flagship of the brand offers the highest standard and features modern assistance systems and innovative lighting technology.

A range of electronic protection systems contributes to active safety in the Škoda Superb. The following are standard in EU countries: ESC electronic stability control including DSR Driver Steering Recommendation, anti-lock braking system (ABS), enginebraking control (MSR), traction control (ASR), electronic differential lock (EDL) and Hydraulic Braking Assistant (HBA).

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) will recognise critical driving situations such as risk of skidding, specifically intervening to prevent the car from swerving. Sensors feed the system with information regarding driving and steering behaviour, which a control unit then uses to determine intended steering direction and intended driving behaviour, actuating brake impulses to prevent the car from becoming unstable in curves. ESC includes ABS, MSR, ASR, EDL and HBA functions as integral elements.

The Hydraulic Braking Assistant (HBA) supports the driver in an emergency braking situation and can significantly shorten the car's stopping distance. Based on the speed with which the driver operates the brake pedal, the system will recognise whether the driver wishes to perform an emergency stop and will accordingly increase braking pressure automatically up to the ABS threshold as long as the driver maintains pressure on the brake pedal. As the driver releases the pedal, the system automatically and proportionally reduces the pressure until it equals the actuation value.

The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) prevents the wheels from locking in an emergency braking situation or on slippery roads, thus preserving steerability of the vehicle. MSR engine-braking control works to prevent the driving wheels from locking because of the engine's braking force on slippery surfaces. ASR traction control permits harmonious driving-off and acceleration, without wheels spinning or the car shifting on surfaces with low grip. Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) makes for smooth and comfortable driving-off on surfaces with uneven grip.

The Driver Activity Assistant (fatigue recognition), which is optionally available in the Superb, will warn a driver of impending fatigue. The system analyses steering behaviour and detects deviations from the norm. Significant deviation indicating declining concentration in the driver will trigger an optical signal in the combination instrument recommending a break: "Fatigue detected, please pause".

Hill Hold Control will activate itself when starting up a slope (on a gradient of more than five per cent). The system permits comfortable starting up a hill even without use of the handbrake. If after stopping on a slope the driver takes his foot off the brake pedal, the assistant will maintain pressure in the braking system for another one to two seconds, reducing it depending on drive power feeding to the wheels.

Also available for the Superb is electronic tyre pressure control. This system will inform the driver about possible loss of pressure in tyres during driving.

Optimum lighting in every situation

Visibility of a vehicle plays a central role in traffic safety. In the Superb, the so-called Adaptive Frontlight System, AFS for short, ensures "see and be seen". In the new Superb, this intelligent bi-xenon headlight technology is now available including LED daytime running lights for the first time. This significantly increases visibility of the vehicle.

AFS provides optimum lighting of the road and surroundings depending on driving and weather conditions. The headlight system will adapt lighting to different driving situations, varying the headlights' angle dynamically. Curve lights and turning lights (integrated into the fog lamps) complement the system. Intelligent aggregation of the functions considerably improves visibility at night, enabling the driver to recognise obstacles early and react accordingly.

AFS operates in three modes: extraurban, urban and highway. The extraurban mode is active between 0 and 15 kph and between 50 and 90 kph. It is most reminiscent of normal low-beam light. In this mode, the right and the left headlight module assume their basic position. In urban mode (between 15 and 50 kph), the light cone is broader and shorter than in extraurban mode. This is because at lower speeds, optimum lighting of sidewalks and intersections matters more than a long forward range. In fast driving on highways by contrast, a long forward range and lighting of the right and left lanes matters more. In this mode, the left headlight module swivels upward and leftward, unlike in the basic mode, while the right module is simply turned upward. Highway mode activates from 90 kph and achieves maximum effect from 120 kph.

Improved visibility from the rear is provided by the newly designed standard LED taillights. Their Škoda-typical C graphic stands out even more brilliant and clear in the Superb limousine and Combi. For the first time, three strips form the taillight shape, a clear mark of the Superb. In darkness, the Superb has become yet more visible thanks to two new reflecting lighting strips on the right and left side of the rear bumper.

Up to nine airbags protect occupants

In a collision, a finely orchestrated interplay of airbags and retention systems will protect occupants. The Škoda Superb comes with up to nine airbags, among them a knee airbag for the driver and rear side airbags. The front-passenger airbag can be deactivated when carrying a baby cot on the seat.

Protection is achieved by a finely-tuned interworking of adjustable-height three-point seat belts at the front and three three-point safety belts at the rear. A signal tone will warn if belts are not fastened in front. The car's five headrests are individually adjustable in height. Safe transport of infants is guaranteed thanks to the option of fastening Isofix child seats firmly in apposite moorings. These include an additional top-side belt, the so-called "TopTether" anchoring.

Stable body with high-strength steel

The Škoda Superb's stable body structure guarantees a high level of passive safety. The body was designed to include high-strength steel which offers added protection especially in the passenger cabin. The car's front and rear have been designed to absorb a maximum of kinetic energy in an accident. Special fastening of the engine prevents it from penetrating the passenger cabin on impact. Similarly, the steering column has been designed not to move toward the driver in a front-end collision.

The Superb is also big on pedestrian protection. Special foam fillings in the bumper reduce the danger of leg injury. If a pedestrian collides with the car's bonnet in an accident, the bonnet will absorb most of the impact energy.

Škoda Superb: 19 per cent more efficient

The fundamentally revised Škoda Superb features drive trains that have become much more efficient, as evidenced in improved mileage and lower emissions. The 125 kW 2.0 top-of-the-line diesel is now available in an attractive combination with double-clutch transmission and allwheel drive. Fuel consumption and emissions in Škoda's flagship have been reduced by up to 19 per cent. In EU countries, all diesel engines now come with start-stop and recuperation. The Škoda Superb GreenLine consumes just 4.2 l of diesel fuel per 100 km, emitting a mere 109 g CO2/km.

In all, four petrol and three diesel engines are available in the Superb. The engine offering ranges from the 1.4 TSI/92 kW petrol engine to the top-of-the-line 3.6 FSI V6/191 kW. The all-wheel-driven Škoda Superb 4×4 comes with a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines. The all-wheel drive is based on a fourth-generation Haldex clutch. All engines employ direct fuel injection. All automatic transmissions are modern DSG double-clutch gearboxes with six or seven speeds. All engines and drive options are available for both the Superb limousine and the Superb Combi.

Four petrol engines from 92 kW to 191 kW

All petrol engines are TSI turbocharged with direct injection.

The entry-level petrol engine is the 1.4 TSI/92 kW (125 HP). This engine has been significantly optimised for consumption and comes standard with start-stop and recuperation for the first time in the Superb. In the front-wheel drive configuration with manual six-speed transmission, consumption is a mere 5.9 l/100 km (Combi: 6.1 l), about thirteen per cent less than hitherto. CO2 emissions are 138 g/km (Combi: 142 g/km). Maximum torque of 200 Nm is achieved between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm.

The next more powerful petrol engine for the Superb is the 1.8 TSI/118 kW (160 HP). Consumption in the front-wheel driven manual-transmission version is 6.8 l/100 km (Combi: 6.9 l/100 km), with CO2 emissions of 158 g/km (Combi: 160 g/km). The engine puts out its maximum torque of 250 Nm between 1,500 and 4,500 rpm. Transmission options are a manual six-speed and an automatic seven-speed DSG. The 1.8 TSI is also available as an all-wheel drive with a manual six-speed gearbox.

The 2.0 TSI puts out 147 kW (200 HP). This engine is available only in combination with a six-speed double-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. Maximum torque of 280 Nm is achieved between 1,700 und 5,000 rpm. Combined-cycle fuel consumption is 7.9 l/100 km (Combi: 8.0 l/100 km), CO2 emissions are 178 g/km (Combi: 180 g/km).

The top-of-the-line petrol engine for the Škoda Superb is the 3.6 FSI V6/191 kW (260 HP). Its fuel consumption and emissions have been lowered by about nine per cent. Combined-cycle consumption is now 9.3 l/100 km (Combi: 9.3 l/100 km as well) while CO2 emissions per km are 215 g (Combi: 217 g/km). Hitherto, mileage was 10.1 l/100 km in the limousine. This engine choice is available with an automatic sixspeed DSG transmission and all-wheel drive. The car's maximum torque of 350 Nm is achieved between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm.

Superb diesel engines now with standard start-stop und recuperation

The Škoda Superb's common-rail diesel engines have become even more efficient. All diesel engines now come standard with start-stop and recuperation in EU countries.

The offering in terms of combinations of diesel engines and gearboxes has been considerably freshened up. The entry-level 1.6 TDI/77 kW diesel is now optionally available with an automatic seven-speed DSG transmission, while its manual transmission now has six instead of five speeds. The 2.0 TDI/103 kW all-wheel-drive Superb now comes with a six-speed manual transmission, while the 2.0 TDI/125 kW allwheel- drive Superb now comes with an optional six-speed DSG automatic transmission.

Mileage in the entry-level 1.6 TDI/77 kW (105 HP) diesel engine has been improved by about eleven per cent. The engine is now fitted with a six-speed manual transmission (hitherto: five speeds). In the front-wheel drive configuration, the car now consumes a mere 4.5 l of diesel fuel per 100 km (Combi: 4.6 l/100 km), translating into CO2 emissions of 117 g/km (Combi: 119 g/km). The four-cylinder engine achieves its maximum torque of 250 Nm between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm. Available for the first time with the 1.6 TDI/77 kW in the Superb is an automatic seven-speed DSG transmission. Mileage in this combination is just 4.6 l/100 km (Combi: 4.7 l/100 km).

The most efficient diesel-powered Škoda Superb is the 1.6 TDI/77 kW (105 HP) GreenLine. Specific optimisation of parameters such as weight, clearance and drag have permitted to reduce fuel consumption in the Superb GreenLine as a front-wheel drive limousine with manual transmission to 4.2 l/100 km and CO2 emissions to 109 g/km.

The mid-level diesel engine in the Škoda Superb is the 2.0 TDI/103 kW (140 HP), featuring reductions in fuel consumption and emissions of more than 16 per cent. As a manual-transmission front-wheel drive, it will consume a mere 4.6 l/100 km (hitherto 5.4 l/100 km). CO2 emissions are as low as 119 g/km (Combi: 121 g/km). Maximum torque of 320 Nm is achieved between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm. The choice of transmissions is a manual six-speed and a six-speed automatic DSG. The manual transmission is also available with all-wheel drive for the first time. Until now, the all-wheel drive 2.0 TDI/103 kW came exclusively with DSG.

The 2.0 TDI/125 kW (170 HP) is the top diesel option for the Superb. Its maximum torque of 350 Nm is developed between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm. Transmission can be a six-speed manual or automatic DSG. Consumption in the 2.0 TDI/125 kW with manual transmission and front-wheel drive is a mere 4.6 litres, an improvement of 19 per cent. CO2 emissions are 120 g/km. For the first time, the Superb 2.0 TDI/125 kW is now optionally available with an attractive combination of all-wheel drive and DSG automatic transmission.

All-wheel drive with advanced Haldex clutch

All-wheel drive in the Škoda Superb is based on a fourth-generation Haldex clutch. The Haldex clutch is an electronically actuated multidisc clutch. In normal driving situations, the car's drive goes mostly to the front axle, while the rear axle is uncoupled. The Haldex clutch, which operates via an electro-hydraulic oil pump, engages the rearaxle if necessary.

To this end, a control unit permanently computes optimum drive power for the rear axle. This is done by assessing various parameters such as engine torque, throttle position, wheel speed and steering angle. The vehicle's lateral and longitudinal acceleration data are also taken into account. The control unit then adjusts pressure to the clutch discs so as to apply drive power to the rear axle as determined based on the computed overall driving dynamics status. This generally prevents the wheels from spinning even during quick starts and rapid acceleration.

Škoda Superb L&K: exclusive and elegant

Exclusive equipment and the finest materials is what the Škoda Superb L&K stands for. The L&K designation refers to Škoda's founding fathers Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement, who almost 118 years ago laid the founding stone for one of the oldest carmakers in the world. The Škoda Superb L&K is the top-of-the-line model for the especially discerning customer. It is a car with a maximum of comfort and style. As part of the revision of the Škoda Superb, the L&K variant has been given a new interior and innovative features.

The entire interior of the Škoda Superb L&K impresses with exclusivity. Seats are covered in leather and sport the L&K lettering. New colours are available for the door panels and the dashboard, with a brown and ivory combination optional. This imbues the Superb's cockpit with additional elegance, with the seats' leather covers executed in ivory colour. Front seats are electrically adjustable. Optionally, the passenger seat can be operated from the rear seats. Decorative strips in black piano finish or brown wood decor round off a classy appearance.

A powerful sound system with ten speakers provides pure listening pleasure in combination with the Bolero infotainment radio, which is standard in the Superb L&K. The Bolero radio can be conveniently operated via a 6.5-inch colour touchscreen and features a 6-CD changer, a playing function for MP3 music files and an SD memory card slot.

The fundamentally revised Škoda Superb L&K now comes standard with bi-xenon headlights with AFS functionality and integrated LED daytime running lights. The new fog lamps now add the function of turn lighting. The car's all-new taillights in characteristic C design now use LEDs, as do turn signals, backup lamps and fog lamps.

Automatic dimming and folding away of side mirrors with Boarding Spots provide added comfort, as does the SunSet windows program with enhanced tinting in the rear window and rear side windows. 18-inch alloy wheels in "Sirius" two-tone design provide the car with a confident appearance. The doorsills bear the L&K emblem.

Front and rear parking sensors make entering and leaving a parking space easier and prevent damage.

The engine palette of the Škoda Superb L&K comprises two powerful petrol and diesel options. The 2.0 TSI puts out 147 kW (200 HP). The top-of-the-line petrol version is the 3.6 V6 with all-wheel drive, putting out 191 kW (260 HP). Mileage and emissions have been significantly improved in this engine (by about nine per cent). Both petrol engines are exclusively available with an automatic six-speed DSG. Available diesel engines are the 2.0 TDI/103 kW (140 HP) and the 2.0 TDI/125 kW (170 PS). Both engines can be combined with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic DSG transmission. All-wheel drive is also available for both engines.

Škoda Superb: environment-friendly motoring

The Škoda Superb now impresses with even more efficiency resulting in improved mileage and emissions figures. Thanks to thirdgeneration GreenLine technology, the Škoda Superb GreenLine as a limousine with front-wheel drive and manual transmission achieves consumption as low as 4.2 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 109 g/km.

Škoda has revised the entire Superb model line for even more efficiency. A start-stop system and kinetic energy recuperation are now standard in EU countries in all diesel and in the entry-level 92 kW 1.4 TSI petrol engine. These features help reduce emissions by up to 19 per cent. In some engine configurations, mileage improves through higher gear ratios, tyres optimised for low rolling resistance, a reduced drag coefficient and decreased vehicle weight.

Combined fuel consumption of just 4.2 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of only 109 g/km in the Superb GreenLine as a limousine, are evidence that protection of the environment and comfort can indeed be in harmony. These figures are an improvement of about five per cent on the car's predecessor (GreenLine II), itself efficient. The Superb Combi GreenLine with 6-speed transmission and front-wheel drive achieves mileage of 4.3 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 113 g/km. Lettering on the hatch and grille marks out the Superb GreenLine.

Below the bonnet of the Škoda Superb GreenLine is a 1.6 TDI diesel engine with a power output of 77 kW (105 HP). The switch from a manual five-speed to a manual six-speed gearbox has improved mileage, as have a number of additional technical modifications.

The so-called drag coefficient (cW figure) of the Superb GreenLine limousine is only 0.27 as against 0.29 in the "normal" variants of the Superb. Optimised air intakes and the use of a rear spoiler in the limousine have contributed to this. And of course, the Superb GreenLine comes with automatic start-stop and recuperation. In addition, the car is fitted with low-rolling-resistance 16-inch tyres.

Besides the "diet program" for the Superb GreenLine, the entire Superb model line now impresses with even more efficiency. In EU countries, all Superb diesel engines as well as the entry-level 92 kW 1.4 TSI petrol engine now come with start-stop and recuperation as standard. Use of these systems and improved aerodynamics have lowered consumption of the front-wheel drive entry-level petrol version with manual transmission from 6.8 l to 5.9 l/100 km. The largest reduction has been achieved in the 125 kW 2.0 diesel engine with manual transmission and front-wheel drive: at 4.6 l/100 km, consumption is now 19 per cent lower than hitherto.

Škoda's Green Future

These significant advances in mileage and emissions are part of Škoda's broad-based sustainability strategy. To strengthen sustainability efforts even further, Škoda is now uniting all required steps under its GreenFuture strategy. Its aim is to make all Škoda models even more efficient, and use of resources even more sustainable. GreenFuture is an integral element of Škoda's 2018 growth strategy and Volkswagen Group's environmental strategy.

Škoda's GreenProduct drive aims to lower CO2 emissions in all models even further. Currently, 52 Škoda models achieve emissions figures of less than 120g CO2/km and eleven of them less than 100g CO2/km. Vehicle production is another focus of the strategy. By 2018, Škoda aims to raise environment compatibility of its own production by another 25 per cent. Under GreenFactory, the goal is mainly to lower energy and water consumption and produced waste per vehicle. The third pillar of Škoda's sustainability strategy is GreenRetail. Here, the focus is on environment protection in dealerships and repair shops.

'Superb' choice

The Škoda Superb has always impressed with its wide choice of equipment. This is true yet again for the revised edition of the brand's top-of-the-line model. Whether as a Superb 'Active', 'Ambition', 'Elegance' or the elite 'L&K', the Superb limousine and Combi will fill almost any expectation and leave no wish unfulfilled.

Customers enjoy an attractive choice in terms of equipment. Even the entry-level Škoda Superb 'Active' impresses with comprehensive standard safety and comfort equipment. This includes ESC electronic stability control including ABS, brake assistant and traction control as well as six airbags. Also on board are daytime running lights, electrically adjustable and heated side mirrors, air conditioning, the new PUR four-spoke steering wheel, new seat covers and trim strips. The car's design impresses thanks to a new front including the grille now framed in chrome, and LED taillights. The new offering includes Solaris design hubcaps for the standard 16-inch steel wheels.

Beyond the 'Active' trim, the Škoda Superb 'Ambition' boasts new Helix 16-inch alloy whe
