Luca Toni Finally Announces Retirement From Football

The Verona striker called time on his nomadic career with a 2-1 win over  Juventus, whom he played  for between 2011 and 2012.
The World Cup winner revealed his retirement had been a long time coming, but he had  kept on because of his goalscoring form.

“I should have stopped four or five years ago, but I kept on scoring so I continued to play,”he said. “It was only after I spoke to my family that I decided to end this wonderful career.”
Luca Toni scored over  300 goals in his career, and won league titles with both Juventus and Bayern Munich.
