AFCON 2017: NFF, Siasia arrive venue for Egypt clash

Interim coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia, has agreed to use the Ahmadu Bello stadium in Kaduna for the AFCON 2017 qualifiers against Egypt later this month.
Siasia approved of the venue after visiting it over the weekend, general secretary of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Dr Mohammed Sanusi disclosed to The Vanguard. Siasia also approved of continental suites in the state ahead of the crucial tie with Egypt.

“Siasia was in Kaduna at the weekend in company with the assistant director, technical, to inspect the stadium and accommodation for the team for the match against Egypt. He expressed satisfaction after checking the pitch and the hotel accommodation. “He said he was okay with what he saw, which means that the visit has watered down the initial impressions he had about the stadium. He said that the pitch is in good condition,” Sanusi stated. Nigeria hosts Egypt in Kaduna on March 25 and visit the Pharaohs in Alexandria on March 29. Egypt are top of the qualifying group with maximum six points, two ahead of Nigeria after two rounds of matches.
