Feeling very loved by Odis, I said, “Take all my love that is inside me. It is for you only. I will always love you darling. I want to fulfill all your dreams as I lay beside you forever. I am here to stay. You tell me that your dreams have come true in me. I know they have for me in you! I love you more each day!”
His biggest concern is me slipping through his fingers again and he will do whatever needs to be done to make sure that does not happen. I think my difficulty was being able to believe that anyone could possibly love me that much.
He had forgotten that the emotional experience he had gone through three years before was what I was going through now. All his heart knew was he was so in love with me and wanted me to be instantly on the same emotional level he is now. He wants me loving him and being with him all the time and hated the divisiveness turmoil that I was being hammered with by my ex. He was ready for me to have some peace and happiness! He knew he could give me that!
Verbal abuse is as damaging as physical abuse just different wounds. One harms the body, the other harms the spirit! If you have never experienced a bad relationship, it will be difficult to understand the feelings I was having. It is not easy to believe someone can love you and falling into the secure arms of love like Odis was giving me was a total new and different experience. Going from a “no love relationship” to one that is showering you with devoted love is enough to boggle an already ‘mixed up emotional system’! You want to believe you are loved but then you wonder if it is real and if you can trust the love! I think my difficulty was being able to believe that anyone could possibly love me that much. I knew in my heart that Odis and I were ‘meant to be together’. It took awhile for my head to get the memo.
