Irrfan Khan starrer Madaari remained dull at the box office in its opening week. This social-thriller has managed to collect merely 12.50 crores in the 1st week, thus making it a huge disappointment at the box office.
Madaari has become one of the lowest grossers amongst the list of notable films of 2016.
Other films which turned out to be huge disasters are Great Grand Masti (13 crores), Do Lafzon Ki Kahani (3.25 crores), Te3n (17.80 crores) and Fitoor (18.61 crores).
Madaari is directed by Nishikant Kamat, who previously helmed Rocky Handsome. The film also stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Vishesh Bansal and Tushar Dalvi in key roles.
