MyTRAINER’s Resident Comedian, Rick March

MyTRAINER member Rick March is a successful comedian and actor. He entertains on stage and for companies like McDonald’s and Cargill Grain Company, but he wasn’t always in show business.

March started out in business before he was performing for top businesses. The West Rogers park-born and Highland Park native studied marketing management at Syracuse and worked for a variety of businesses. He used his management background, people skills, and sense of humor to do well in sales and trading. Eventually March founded his own company with his years of management experience.

Now the Chief Comedy Officer of Best Corporate Comedy, he used that same entrepreneurial spirit to take comedy classes. He become a stand up comic at age 47 and tapped into the creative drive and humor that he’d had his entire career in business and his career has taken off. He starting hitting up open mics, studied his favorite stand ups, and learned how to produce and run shows.

Now he’s his own boss and has performed, not only for the country’s largest corporations, but on stage as Shelley Levene in Glengary Glenn Ross, as Victor Velasco in Barefoot in the Park, in national TV spots, and much more.

Getting Fit for a Special Event

Being a comedian pretty much requires one to be comfortable in their own skin, which March no doubt is. But when he had a friend’s wedding coming up last fall, he wanted to get in better shape and turned to his neighborhood’s favorite Personal Training gym, myTRAINER.

What Rick Loves About myTRAINER

When we asked him what he loves about myTRAINER, March said, “I Love the way you’re nurtured and pushed at the same time,” he said, laughing, adding “I’ve done personal training before, and this is the best experience I’ve had. I hate exercising, but Keely and the team make it fun. It’s a very genuine place. I have a lot of fun there.”

When asked what his very favorite thing about myTRAINER was, he was quick to say he loves getting stretched out at the end of each session. We don’t blame you, Rick!

We love having having Rick around and are glad we’ve gotten to know him. Make sure to say hello next time you see him. You can find him online here.
