The GASC is comprised of 35 Columbus Chamber members from the region who represent all types of businesses in Central Ohio. The GASC identifies public policies that foster a sustainable and productive business environment and provides guidance on how to best advocate for those policies. The group also advises the Chamber staff and Board on how to best educate membership on top policy issues and evaluates ballot issues and levies for Chamber endorsement.
“The GASC does an amazing job guiding the advocacy efforts at the Columbus Chamber.” says Bradley. “It’s an honor to be a part of an organization that is the voice for Central Ohio businesses in government.”
“We’re honored to have Darnita volunteer her time and talent to help lead the committee,” comments Kristen Easterday, Vice President of Government Relations at the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, “her ability to translate legislation into layman’s terms and quickly determine the impact of decisions on a local, regional, and state-level is a huge asset for us.”

In her role at Columbia Gas, her responsibilities include providing direction and counsel on natural gas issues to local, regional and state economic development organizations and managing Columbia’s economic development program.
