Color Fun by AGF: Mustard - The Color of September

Hello Color lovers!

This month we want to encourage you to make quilts, crafty projects, fashionable apparel or home decor in a very rich color! We really got inspired by some of the warm Mustard prints from our recently released collections: Nightfall by Maureen Cracknell and Observer by April Rhodes and we decided that the AGF color of September can be no other than MUSTARD! The Fall is coming so you will start to see more gold hues, yellows and of of course vibrant...mustard in nature.

So let’s learn more about this color:

The clue to making something beautiful with Mustard Fabric is to know how to color-coordinate it.

So what are the colors that go well with mustard?

It goes perfectly with denim! It’s also great with grey, white, and even plum if you want to be adventurous.

If you want to achieve a more sophisticated look combine it with black!

Also, you can start experimenting a little with it and discover your own favorite color combinations. Believe or not, it works with a variety of colors. How about mixing it with shades of burgundy, dark green, or tan?

To get you excited about sewing with mustard fabric we prepared mood board filled with color inspiration. Check it out!

So what you are planning on making? Maybe a dress or a decorative pillow? Remember that the color mustard looks great as an accent in accessories like bags, jewelry, or scarves. Here are a few prints from various AGF fabric collections that we chose for this Color Fun episode. We Hope you’ll love them!
