My experience with marijuana

I have been using Marijuana since i discovered it back in 2012. At the time then, my mind was closed off to everything. Drugs were an automatic no for me but as they say, curiosity killed the cat and i tried it. Many people were brought up and drilled in their heads that all drugs are bad, all drugs are a plague to society and threatens it's very structure and stability. And that exactly is the problem with today's society, everyone just take things for granted and assume that they are bad. What they are forgetting is that everything you see stocked up in your first aid kit is a drug. A carefully formulated cocktail of chemicals, designed for a specific purpose. Marijuana is natural, it comes from a plant. Since ancient times, people have been using the cannabis plant for healing, oils, fibers and exploring higher states of consciousness.

Cannabis contains the active component THC, a psychoactive compound that is responsible for the effects that you feel when taken. The 'high' also comes with a state of relaxation, euphoria, and a really bad case of the munchies! Most of the time, the most common method of using this substance is smoking it. And that was how I was exposed to it.

A strange sensation goes through your body, you feel relaxed, everything else just feels alright. You take another puff or hit, you are at peace. It feels like you are just floating in the ocean and just taking it all in, nothing else seems to matter except the present. There is no future or past there is only now. Trivial things seem wonderful, intriguing, fascinating. The patterns on a flower, mesmerizing, captivating prompting you to question who or what is behind all this. You see things not as you were told, but as they are. True and honest. You ask questions that before, were trivial or even stupid to ask but they bring you into discussions that probe at your inner being. You discuss about the truth and not about what you were told. Fascinating thoughts swirl around your head, and you just seem to take it all in as it is. And that to me is very important.

We have all been fed lies for other people's gain. Mainstream media is only based on what will keep the people who are in power stay in power. Our eyes are never truly open until we open them ourselves. We have been trained, and drilled on how to become a 'good' member of society. And this 'good' can have many different meanings. How can you learn about anything else if you don't know anything about yourself? If you cannot even explain yourself, are you even human then? You lose yourself to the world, and gain nothing significant, being 'murdered' by society and eventually just replaced by someone else.

The truth will set you free.

“Whoever controls the media, controls the mind”
― Jim Morrison

“If you don't think drugs have done good things for us, then take all of your records, tapes and CDs and burn them. Cause you know what? The musicians that made all that great music that's enhanced your lives throughout the years? Real fucking high on drugs. The Beatles were so fuckin' high they let Ringo sing a few songs."
