painting of a woman enjoying painting The Scream by Edvard Munch
acrylic on masonite
71" x 47 1/4" or 180 x 120 cm
'I was walking along the road with two friends – the sun was setting – suddenly the sky turned blood red – I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence – there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city – my friends walked on, and I stood there trembling with anxiety – and I sensed an infinite Scream passing through nature.'
That's what Edvard Munch wrote about his Painting The Scream in his diary. This painting has always been a personal favorite and thought it would be perfect for my third giant scale painting. Hope you enjoy it!
