Project Natick is an innovative creation from Microsoft that puts data storage centers underwater.  Microsoft Azure is expanding with underwater containers that are more eco-friendly, cheaper to build, and require less infrastructure than on-land data centers. Data storage is an industry expected to be worth more than $200 billion by 2027, so coming up with a sustainable way to store data and provide it quickly to coastal regions is definitely in Microsoft’s best interest.
