I grew up rebelling against my conservative father, then I lived long enough to see he was right about some things. One of the first lessons he ever taught me was, Never Put Up With A Bully.
Because of that view, he’d understand my take on what I see as the almost Orwellian, very ugly and bullying nature of so many “liberals” these days. It all reminds me again that you just don't put up with a bully of any sort if you want to live free.
I put the word liberal in quotes because they’re not liberal at all—they're closer to fascist. At least the aggressive and violent ones are, that is. They force their views on others and when others disagree, they break apart a church, or a public meeting, or a free political rally in favor of a sitting President.
Does any of this remind you of the infamous Beerhall Putsch? It started the Nazi Party, in a way, and also was a failed attempt by a political group to force its way on others.
For the umpteenth time, I do not like Trump. Still, I think his supporters should have the right to peacefully assemble without being messed with by people who disagree so much that they want to physically hurt them.
They truly believe they are in the right, these holier-than-though immoral relativist liberals, because they have the “liberal” perspective:
“I’m here to support the message that hate speech is not free speech,” one anti-Trump protestor at a Trump rally that became violent in California opined, not realizing how stupid he sounds to anyone who’s read and understands the Constitution.
The truth is, hate Speech IS free speech, and it is protected.
It’s protected for now, that is. But with such poorly educated Americans out there believing they can force their foolish views on others, it might not be protected for long. Worse yet, a civil war might be inevitable, or so it seems. And it might rid us of some of these freedom-hating fascists who call themselves open-minded.
People who like the idea of another war, just remember, violence always begets itself. Doesn’t matter what kind of violence—it always creates more violence. So, if you really want to club someone over the head because of their political views or for any other reason, prepare yourself for the day when you will get bashed on the head, too.
