Reviewing Open House Cafe in Connaught Place , Delhi.

Open house Cafe located in Connaught Place needs no introduction. It is popular for its multi cuisine preparation.

We decided to pay it a visit and try some of its dishes and find the answer to this question as what makes  it one of the ideal places to dine in here at this space.

Talking about their Executive Chef, well he is none other than Chef Saurav Bhatnagar who has earlier worked at Sheraton Hotel, Mets and at Cyprus Pernera Beach Hotel.

Some of the dishes that we had here and really liked include :

Baked Butter Chicken Jackets: Well this was an interesting take on the traditional Butter Chicken , a dish with a fusion as butter chicken was stuffed inside the Potato which was baked very interesting dish defnitely a must try.

Butter chicken taste itself was very good with less gravy and the outer later of the potato which was crispy complemented the chicken.

Naga Bhoot Jholekya Maggie: Well who doesn’t like Maggie but this dish is different ever heard of Bhoot Jholekya , well let us tell you it is one of the spiciest crop ‘Mirch’ in the whole world.

So this Maggie has flavour of Bhoot Jholekya which was nice as the Chef put the right amount of spice in the dish which made it quite appetizing.

Rajma Chawal Croquettes: They were served in small glasses and everyone had a distinct taste of its own as they were inside different kind of dips like Salsa,Mayo , Mint etc. We, thoroughly enjoyed the taste of this dish.

Ebi Tempura and Wasabi Prawns: Light , flavorful and a delight to eat. This was defnitely one of the dishes that we throughly enjoyed as a sea food lover one must try this item from the menu.

Dimsum Basket and Pak Choi chicken dumpling: First of all loved the presentation of the dish as there was a heart shaped dimsumtoo , well you wouldn’t like this . But the taste was also good. And the Pak choi had minced chicken with shitake mushroom in spicy sauce.

In the desserts loved the Darsaan which is an oriental dessert which has honey glazed noodles with vanilla ice cream and Choco Martini which was served in a jar and the taste was heavenly.

So, The Social Reviewer rates the experience at Open House Cafe 4.5/5 which makes it one of the ideal places to have lunch or dinner at this place.
