Winning a lifetime achievement award, one’s first thought is: ‘Surely not yet.’ And one’s second is: ‘Just in time, mate’
While putting this post together, I found out author Joe Hill and I are currently reading the same Book, Robert Galbraith's (aka J.K. Rowling) terrific Career of Evil. It's the third book in the Cormoran Strike series. If you like old school whodunnits, do not pass go and go directly to your nearest bookstore and pick it up. (Or put a little jingle jangle in the old Ventipop coffers and order it by clicking on a cover below) I really loved the first two books in the series too. They took a while to peak my interest, but the third one picks up fast and furious with the special delivery of a severed leg to the detective's office. It wastes no time sticking the hook in deep and reeling you in. Nice to see Joe Hill is finally taking my recommendations seriously.
