MI says he would have retired but there is no one to take the mantle from him

Rapper and Chocolate city boss,MI Abaga has issued a wake-up call in his latest single, urging his colleagues to “fix up” their lives.
The single which is entitled ‘You Rappers should fix up your life’, Abaga says having dominated the Nigerian rap scene for a decade, he’d rather retire but there’s no one capable of taking the mantle from him.

Abaga laments that rappers are “underperforming,” expressing disgust at his peers and reminding them of how he “held the country down” when he was performing.
The Chocolate City president also declared on the single that Nigerian rappers are “getting killed” by their South African counterparts.

He raps: “I should be close to retirement/ but none of you rappers inspiring/ none of you pass the requirements/ I can’t retire yet then.
“You rappers should fix up your life/ yall getting killed by the south/ I guess I’m in this s**t for life/ I’m still the one that you look to/ you need me to figure s**t out.
“None of you rappers is real enough/ once you blow up now you’re switching up/ that’s why these fans are not feeling yall/ SA rappers are killing yall.”
