Judge Genece Brinkley denies Meek Mill’s bid to be released from prison on bail.
According to TMZ, Officer Reginald Graham, who arrested Meek on drugs and weapons charges in 2007, is among former cops the D.A. placed on a “Do not call” list, warning prosecutors not to call them for testimony due to allegations of misconduct in previous cases.
Last month, Meek’s attorney Joe Tacopina said “The release of the so-called ‘Do Not Testify’ list supports everything in the motions filed by Mill and others wrongfully arrested by Officer Graham for post-conviction relief.”
Meek’s attorney spoke to TMZ after Monday’s ruling: “This ruling from Judge Genece Brinkley simply reaffirms the fact she has turned Meek Mill’s case into a personal vendetta.”
Tacopina continued: “In spite of the recommendations from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, which was supported by Governor Tom Wolf, the judge continues to stand alone in supporting Officer Reginald Graham’s perjured testimony as well as his criminal behavior that has been documented.”
Mill and Tacopina plan to appeal the ruling to Pennsylvania’s highest court, which could take years.
