Mom Denied Entry on Disney Cruise Because She Is Pregnant

22-year-old Emily Jackson booked a Disney cruise with her husband, two kids, parents, and siblings. She was waiting for her room keys on the boat in Miami on Thursday when Disney staff approached her. Jackson was informed that she could not board the boat because she was 25 weeks pregnant. According to the cruise line’s policy, pregnant women are allowed on cruise ships if they are 24 weeks or under.

Jackson told the staff that her doctor gave her permission to travel and she never reviewed Disney’s policy. Things went awry when Jackson and her family began to complain to the staff. Allegedly, a guard intimidated Jackson and her children with a gun, specifically an AR-15.

Jackson posted the video of the altercation on her Youtube channel called the “Jackson Hive” and detailed her experience. The armed guard is shown telling the mother of two to “Wait outside. Step outside” and leading the family to a door.

“It was just terrible. They had the guy with a gun following us, they had the K9 unit,”

She said she and her family had to wait two hours in the heat while cruise employees searched for her family’s luggage.

Jackson emphasized that she did not have an issue with the policy but how the cruise line reacted afterward.

“I’m mad because of how they treated me and my children … The fact that they felt they needed AR-15s to escort us out.”

Disney has offered to reimburse the family for the cruise but not for the flight to and from St.Louis.
