Nelly Accused of Sexual Assault by 2 More Women

The new allegations come after the recent revelation that Nelly had consensual sex with his alleged rape victim from last year. Monique Greene is one of the two new accusers who claim that Cornell Hanes Jr, known by his stage name Nelly, put his hand up her dress at a concert after-party in June 2016.

The woman referred to as Jane Doe 1 alleges that in June 2016, Nelly invited her to a small “VIP room” after a concert, where he suddenly grabbed her leg and placed his hand under her skirt without consent.

The second woman, referred to as Jane Doe 2, claims she met Nelly after his December 5, 2017 show in Essex, England. He allegedly invited Jane Doe 2 and her friends onto his tour bus, and took her into a separate room, where he began masturbating in front of her without her consent. He then grabbed her hand and placed it on his penis, then later pushed her head down to force her into oral sex.

The complaint also claims that in addition to sexually assaulting Greene, Nelly “threatened” and “intimidated” her when she tried to pursue criminal action against him. It accuses Nelly of engaging in libel, slander, and defamation against Greene.

The suit, which seeks an unspecified amount of damages, notes that Greene has suffered “personal damage, emotional trauma,” and has been required to “seek various medical treatments.” It states that Greene, who is a current student at the University of Washington, was forced to drop all of her fall quarter classes following the alleged assault—resulting in the loss of her tuition and delay in her planned graduation date. The suit also seeks an injunction against Nelly “that prohibits him from engaging in Sexual Assault against female fans after concerts.”

Following the initial allegations made in October, Nelly responded by stating that he was “completely innocent.” The case was later dropped in December because the “alleged victim’s refusal to cooperate.” Greene previously refused to testify in court because she reportedly felt she could not “stand up against a celebrity and that the criminal system would fail her.”
