Women Warns Vegas Festival Goers About Shooting Right Before It Happened

Reports are coming in now that a woman was warning people about the killings before they happened.

Brianna Hendricks tells KSNV, NBC’s Las Vegas affiliate, that she was attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival with her mother Sunday when a gunman opened fire from across the street in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. Less than an hour before the attack began, a woman screamed out an ominous warning to the crowd.

“They’re all around…you’re all going to f—ing die today,” the woman said, according to Hendricks.

“There was a lady who pushed her way forward into the concert venue and into the first row, and she started messing with another lady, and told us that we were all going to die tonight,” Hendricks continued. “None of us knew that it was going to be serious.”

Just moments before the shooting, Hendricks and her mother left the concert. They are now looking back to see if the woman had any relation to the shooter.

“Obviously she was telling us that — either to warn us, or to warn us that we were all going to die and she was part of it,” Hendricks said. “Because she had been messing with the lady in front of her and telling her that she was going to die. That we were all going to die. None of us knew that it was going to be serious.”

At approximately 10:08 p.m., gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel across the street, targeting the crowd of more than 22,000 as country star Jason Aldean performed. Paddock was found dead when authorities breached his hotel room shortly afterwards with as many as 10 firearms, including long rifles.

Police are investigating for a possible motive, searching the retirement-community home where Paddock lived with 62-year-old Marilou Danley, approximately 80 miles north of Las Vegas. Danley, an Asian woman, was initially described as a “person of interest” but Las Vegas police now say they don’t believe she was involved and described Paddock as a “lone wolf” shooter.

It’s unclear whether police have questioned Hendricks about the shooting.
