Buying vintage Kouros (and other fragrances)

I've been lurking here for the past two months, and this is my first post. Hello all!

So last night I ended up spending £200 (~250 dollars) on a bottle of vintage Kouros. 100ml, new in box, Sanofi era... but still I think I overpaid and now I feel stupid. My justification, insofar as I even had one, was that I'll keep it in the state I bought it, and either use it when (if) I finish the newer bottle I purchased alongside it, or sell it a few years down the line - by which point prices might have increased (so I kidded myself). But really it was an impulse purchase - which I'm partially blaming my ADHD for - and I am now left wondering whether I ought to drop this new and fascinating hobby before I read a few more posts here and decide in a moment of insanity that I *must* have another expensive vintage fragrance.

Anyway, I would like to ask the people here, how should one go about deciding how much to pay for a vintage fragrance? And, if you would care to tell me, how badly did I mess up on this occassion?

Cheers,

Guccieagle
