Hi all!
I really want to explore green, as in leafy green (masculine leaning) scents. It´s hard to describe what I´m after, but there are a lot of things I DON´T want. Most of the don´t-wants are fine in other occasions, but this time I want to steer clear of them. For examle:
Don´t want
- Vetiver, at least not the rooty part
- Impression of dried greens, greens that have turned yellow in the heat
- Dried herbs
- Autumn green, decaying green
- Pollen-y green
- Powdery green
- Citrus (very little could be ok)
Want:
- Fresh leaves
- Living stems
- (Freshly cut) grass
- Weight, longevity, gravitas
- Maybe flowers, green herbs
Here are some thoughts on some greens in my collection, and stuff I have samples of:
Creed Fuilles Vertes (a little too oak moss-y, "yellow")
Balmain Vent Vert (turns too powdery)
Cartier L´Heure III Verteuese (almost perfection, but want a little more depth)
Guerlain Vetiver pour Elle (almost perfection, but want more stems and less vetiver)
Guerlain Vetiver (too rooty/dirty)
Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire (same green-ness without vetiver please)
Chanel No 19 EdT (too much galbanum)
Krigler Blue Escapade (could be holy grail, I think this thread is about finding a cheaper alternative...)
Clive Christian 1872 for Men (how I wish it to be denser!)
Byredo Green (great, but turns pollen-y after while)
Amouage Epic Man (too much incense going on)
What du you suggest? Something from Come des Garcons (Monocle) series? Corsica Furiosa?
Thanks in advance!
