You hated it but now you love it...and Happy New Year!

I'm actually talking about a fragrance, and I'm exaggerating just a bit.

Can you tell me about a scent in your collection that you disliked initially, but then over time, you grew to love it? For me, it's Black Vetiver by Phaedon

I found at first that it smelled distinctly of chlorine. Like a swimming pool from childhood. However, the very first day I wore it, I received a compliment on it so I tried it again. And then again. And over time, I realized it wasn't chlorine, it was a very crisp lemon scent, thankfully not lemon pledge but a fresh bursting lemon skin with sharpness added via the pimento. The double dose of vetiver contrasts it with warmth and comfort. I no longer get chlorine at all, as I think my nose began to pick out the notes more accurately. Now I turn to it on a regular basis. For both warm and cold weather, it's a very nice scent.
