My gosh it has been a while!

Remember this old fella? Well back in his days he was quite the panty dropper before that phrase had even been coined. Full forums of grown men fawned over Jean-Claude Ellenas perfumery excellence and how he'd combined such contradictory elements in one scentstage with mineral filled earth juxtaposed with vibrant woody notes and topped off with an immense citrus accord. The scent was the equivalent of wandering across a piece of arid deserted land into which someone had dumped a freshly felled cedar and then performed a driveby with a cannon that fired oranges and boy did I like it.

It also used boatloads of ISO Super E and thus screamed off your skin for all and sundry to enjoy and what a wonderful experience it was too, especially the day after vibes as it certainly had some tenacity. Unapologetically masculine, uber versatile and a sure fire crowd pleaser. Rest assured this was the fragrance du jour of that era and like most successes introduced an EDP flanker to cash in those extra chips which gained a dense heaviness but lost its airy sparkle only to be followed many moons later by the Johnny Come Lately Eau Tres Fraiche which was great until I picked up that cumin sweat note in it.

What say ye? Remember this old bean? Still rock it to this day? Thoughts on how its aged?
