Tonquitone Deer Musk (synthetic) @10% on tester strip

Tonquitone @10% on tester strip

This synthetic Deer Musk has a lot of honey, it is warm cozy and very mammal-like.

The most noticeable aspect of this deer musk is the honey-like urine note.
But I don't find it off putting because it is not sour or offensive in any way.
Rather, I find this musk inviting.

I imagine myself as some Cro-Magnon cave-man hunter,
Living 10 000 years ago sleeping next to my pet animals, perhaps even next to a deer, in my cave, in the middle of winter.. keeping warm.
This is clean animals, hay, fur coast and fireside musk.

I think this is scent our ancestors must have lived with for thousands of years;
A scent that meant survival: fire, food and companionship.

This musk also possess a bit of a floral-jasmine edge, and the slightest castoreum/leather note.
Still, it is definitely more honey sweet then smoky leather.
It is definitely more animalic furry, then sharp, indolic jasmine.

If used properly this musk will warm up and unify; oud, oriental or white flower compositions.

I think Tonquitone would blend easily with:
Indian/Assam oud,
vetiver? (perhaps)
synthetic violets.

It would definitely work well in ambriene accords.
