Sunday night strategies to beat Monday blues

Sunday nights have been dreadful since childhood. We are usually less enthusiastic about Sunday evenings because the next day is M.O.N.D.A.Y! Most people hate Mondays, especially Garfield.

“I hate Mondays”, he always says. Have you ever wondered why he hates Mondays? Perhaps it is the same reason why we hate them.

We do not need to have Monday blues because it is the beginning of the working/school week. Mondays need to be a fresh and happy start for all of us, no matter who you are.

Below are three main strategies to beat Monday blues

1. Write down your weekly goals.


Writing down our weekly goals helps us to determine where we are heading to or what we want to achieve at the end of the week. As we write our weekly goals, we can begin on a fresh note. It helps us to meet our monthly goals too. Monday is a day to get started with our weekly goals.


2.  Plan the week ahead.

Planning the week ahead includes planning outfits, main prepping, workout schedules, personal studies etc. Planning outfits prevents rushing out of our doors unprepared. Before we go to bed, we could plan our outfits for school, work, and gym sessions. We could iron them and hang them where they wouldn’t get crumpled. It helps prevent times when we stare at our clothes and complain about not having anything to wear. The struggle is real, ladies especially.




 3. Reflect on the things you loved most about the previous week.

Reflection helps us to focus on the good things that happened in the past week and reminds us that Monday or the new week cannot be so bad after all.
