Before Wololo hit-maker Babes Wodumo and Muvhangoheartthrob Zwelethu Dube were crowned 2017 Mzansi’s Sexiest woman and man there was plenty of red carpet fashion.
Host of the night Enhla Mbali Mlotshwa stunned in a silver Gina Maxim sheer gown on the red carpet, before changing into a cocktail dress by David Tlale’s intern Ntando Ngwenya.
This year’s top 12 Mzansi’s Sexiest finalists including Nicholas Nkuna, Dash, Wandi C, Phindile Gwala, Linda Mtoba, Abdul Khoza and Lesley Musina sizzled on the night.
Other big names to hit the red carpet included last year’s winners Blue Mbombo and Vuyo Dabula.
The night featured performances by Dr Malinga, Dbn Nyts, Ruby Gold, Nosipho, Winnie Khumalo and Ruby Gold.
Dube was over-the-moon about his win.
“Winning this it can only mean that business is going to get better at the end of the day. It just means that this is an opportunity for me to capitalize of being an actor, musician and model,” Dube said.
“I worked hard to get this body. I’m talking two years of having a personal trainer, who was very strict. From then on everything is just stored in the mind. So when he left me I was able to continue in the fashion that he would have wanted.
“This is not child’s play. You don’t become like this in two or three weeks on some ‘summer bodies are made in winter’. You are looking at two to three years in order to see real transformation.”
