Hybrid Theory is the debut studio album by American rock band Linkin Park, released on October 24, 2000 through Warner Bros. Records. Linkin Park, prior to 2000, was known as ‘Hybrid Theory’, which also turned out to be the name of their first album as ‘Linkin Park’. The album was a huge commercial success appearing in many movies soundtracks.
The music that would ultimately become the Hybrid Theory album was first produced by Linkin Park in 1999 as a nine-track demo tape. Now, Hybrid Theory has sold over 30 million records worldwide. Youtube Linkin Park performing the album in its entirety at the Download Festival on June 14, 2014.

- One step closer
- With you
- Points of authority
- By myself
- In the end
- A place for my head
- Cure for the itch
- Pushing me away
Not everybody likes Linkin park, which is fair enough. Over time they have changed and become different. That’s a good thing and a bad thing. I enjoyed the first three albums a lot when i was young and still re listen to them. They became what they were from the Nu metal era. Each song on this album is excellent and you can listen to all of them in order, repetitively and not get bored. I recommend this band to people interested in non screamo metal music and fans of early 20th century music of the alternative metal kind.
“There’s somthing inside me that pulls beneath the surface.
This lack of self-control I fear is never ending.
I can’t seem
To find myself again,
My walls are closing in
(Without a sense of confidence, I’m convinced that there’s just too much pressure to take)
I felt this way before…
