'Religion Cannot Free Us From Our Personal Responsibility,' Charly Boy says

From the desk of Charly Boy a.k.a Areafada...

Obedience without knowledge is Slavery.
When my people are afraid to question their
pastors, their tithe money and their arrangee
miracles, it keeps the followers in a continuous state of fear, compliance and Mumugiousity.

Life na lesson, life na teacher.
80% of us adopted the religious/dogma of our parents.
We had no choice in the matter, to act otherwise means to
qualify for Hell Fire.
Understandably we became afraid of seeking Knowledge, thank God
I did not fall into that trap.
I have never stoped searching to find the truth that speaks to my being.
To educate myself and grow as a human being.
Knowledge and wisdom are incompatible with dogmatic religious ideologies.

I can’t help but marvel at how Religiosity has rendered my people arrogantly
Ignorant. Their ignorance is so naked, so annoying but they argue with you as if
they are theologians. God forbid.
Quoting bible verses doesn’t mean you posses any spiritual advantage or knowledge
over anybody, it only signifies to me that your natural/native intelligence is on
call divert.

It is clear to me that the negative effects of religion on our Naija society are enormous. Mumu followers are being ripped off from all angles. Their leaders and their pastors. To blindly follow a religious or any other ideology simply means to restrict our perception, suppress our thoughts and emotions, and live in hypocrisy — in other words, to live in pain and misery.

Most Nigerians are devoted hypocrites

Religion cannot free us from our personal responsibility.
