  • The other most common area for a flea bite to occur is around the waist, armpits, groin, breasts, or also in the folds of the elbows and knees area.

What are the common symptoms of flea bites?

  • There are no such distinctive features of a flea bite and it normally has common symptoms like itching and irritation on the affected patch of the skin.
  • Sometimes, it may also happen that the flea bite affected skin area becomes very itchy and the skin around the affected bite area of each bite could become excessive painful, swollen and sore.
  • During such severe conditions, you may also experience hives or may also develop a skin rash (red in color) near the site of the flea bite.
  • It has found that one must restrain from excessive scratching as it will cause the skin to be damaged further and can let to develop a second bacterial infection on the skin.
  • When you are bitten by a flea, always avoid excessive scratching and also at the same time, monitor your flea bites, so as to know if there is any sign of infection that may include white top blisters and skin rash.

  • Generally, there is no requirement of any treatment for flea bites, as they go by their own with time. However, at the same time, if you do not wish to be bitten by a flea, you must get rid of their presence especially at the indoors.

  • To relieve the affected skin area of a flea bite, there are many anti itch creams and antihistamine available in the market that may prove to be beneficial in its treatment.
