Lyon Keeper Anthony Lopes was taken to hospital on Saturday night after a flare exploded under him during OL's Ligue 1 clash at Metz.
The incident occurred during Lyon'sLigue 1clash with Metz at Stade Saint-Symphorien, when the Portuguese keeper was down on the ground receiving treatment.Club doctors were tending to Lopes on the pitch with players from both clubs standing around the injured keeper, who was affected byan earlier explosion.
Suddenly smoke erupts next to Lopes on the ground before the firecracker then explodes, causing the players to jump out the way.
One of the Lyon club doctors was also hurt, butit is Lopes who felt the full force of the explosion and rolls out the way in pain.
Players from both teams react in shock and gesture to the stand from which the flare was thrown - as the shot-stopper continues to writhe in pain.
A third flare also exploded on the pitch, but wasout of range of any player and fortunately no one was harmed.
The game was suspended following the incident as the keeper received assistance and any debris was removed from the pitch.
Lopes was taken to hospital for tests following the incident.
