Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the president of the Republic of Ghana, has applauded the 2 Hamile Residents, in the west region for their vigilance in the attack on the Catholic Church.
The president was addressing the Eid celebrations, 5th June 2019, he said, “I commend the vigilance of Hamile resident Gregory Bangbeme and George Bonfodong.” They alert the police about the presence of terrorist equipped with heavy weapons, who turned out to be nation Burkina Faso.
Akufo-Addo further said that Ghanaians should not be the agent of those people who want to destroy the nation peace, as we know Muslims and Christians facing life threats in the west region of Africa and the many parts of the world.
He said “We do not want to call an emergency condition in the Country. Everybody should help the security agencies to keep the nation safe, I appeal you to discourage the activities of that type of people, and everybody should obey the order of law enforcement agencies.”
In order for the country to benefit immensely from the developmental agenda of his government, the President noted that the peace being enjoyed in the country must be maintained.
“All religions are living in our country freely without any fear and this thing is disturbing some nation who want to destroy our peace, they could not be successful in their dirty motive because we are united,” President said.
