The two sensors are called Bright GD1 and Bright GM1- the first one boasts 32MP whereas the second one has 48MP resolution.
Because of their large pixel count and small physical size together having the ISOCELL technology, they are going to be an amazing thing for today’s dual, triple and even quad-camera setups.
The ISOCELL tech enables much better performance overall, particularly for small-sized pixels and matching with the supposed Tetracell technology that merges four pixels into just one in order to make the light sensitivity much better. This thing suggests that the GM1 and GD1 is able to provide binned 8MP and 12MP stills, having an effective pixel size of 1.6μm.
The sensors make use of the Gyro-based electronic image stabilization and the GD1 enables the real-time HDR, the time a person is recording videos.
Both of these sensors are scheduled to get into mass production this quarter, therefore you they can be expected to come in phones in early 2019.
